Sorry if this has come up before, but I've missed it, and I'm on a slow computer and don't have the patience to go through all the old threads.

When people on Krynn die, their souls go on to the gods planes. For how long do they stay there before they go onto the afterlife bit after that?

When the world moved, and the Gods followed, what happened with the souls in their old planes? Did they make new planes, or just move the old ones? Did Takhisis move the Abyss, or did she make a new one? Did she take her souls with her?

When people are raised, do they have to be on their gods plane, or can they be in the other afterlife? Is that what the difference between raising and resurrecting is?

The Gods rebuild the Dome of Creation, the Hidden Vale, and the Abyss. I imigine the Heavens of their respective deities are the final destination for the souls of the dead. For example; elves go to the Hidden Vale. I think there journey ends there.

I'm not sure why the gods had to rebuild anything. I don't see why dimensions have to play by any physical rules. What does it matter to the Abyss where the planet Krynn is physically located in the universe?

Indeed, location is an iffy concept when dealing with interplanar affairs.

It has always been implied that the Progression of Souls leads the souls of Krynn's dead into other lives. This could be construed as being similar to the Hindu concept of reincarnation, save that Krynn's dead are eventually reborn into other lives on other worlds.

I've never consider the prospect of reincarnation in a fantasy setting save via the spell of the same name. Interesting. Where does it implied that the souls of Krynn's dead go to other lives? I missed that somehow.

The whole War of Souls trilogy. All of Caramon and Raistlin's comments of waiting to go on. Flint's waiting to go on as well.

But the thing is, the planet wasn't just moved. Its entire multiversal location in more dimensions than we can possibly imagine, were changed. Remember, not only was Krynn moved, but its entire place in the time stream vanished. Travelling back in time didn't take one to Krynn's old location, it took one to a place where there was nothing since the very flow of time had been alterred!
