Check out Rob Kuntz's latest announcement on the PPP boards: he's going to be working up some Greyhawk materials for Erik Mona/Dungeon Magazine that relate to WG5 Mordenkainen's Fantastic Adventure:

That's great news, Grodog. Mordenkainen's Fantastic Adventure is one of my favourite modules. For some reason, it seems to be very under-rated despite having lots of great stuff in it.

I wonder if these materials relate to the Lost City of the Elders?

That's cool. I think that's something to keep an eye out for. I've never played WG5. So this can be a whole new experience for a newbie like me, cool.

Thanks for the tip.

It would be great to see the rest of Kuntz's work finally see light and I'm glad to see that Dungeon is becoming a better vehicle for Greyhawk. Kuntz has got quite a back-log, but I imagine it would need some fleshing out, much in the same way Gygax has been doing for Zagyg's Castle.

WG5 probably remains my favorite RJK module, so I'm definitely with you Grugach.

I think it's pretty likely that we'll see some material about the LCotE at some point, though whether they are published as part of this Dungeon series or by Rob via his CD project, only time will tell :D

From our chat on Saturday night, Rob said that these would probably be new levels vs. updating older levels. I'll let him fill in any additional details, though (for such, check out this discussion on his boards at http://pub175.ezboard.com/fpiedpiperpublishingfrm6.showMessage?topicID=83.topic).

I'll have much more to say about this when contracts have been signed and work has begun. Until then, let's just say that I'm not thinking small.

Well I think this shows many GH fans that we still have life in our favorite setting! Like I said sometimes babysteps is the only way to move forward. While this is just an update by Kuntz, I'm sure the response might draw even more attention.

I am looking forward to seeing Kuntz's work in a future Dungeon issue! Though I would like to see Carl Sargent just pop his head up somewhere again.

Sounds cool. I never really used WG5 (mainly because it's intended to be played with pregen PCs, Mordy and Co.) but it's be interesting to see Rob's apocryphal bits.

One wonders though, will Rob and Erik be bringing this material into line with modern Greyhawk continuity, or will it be a 'campaign classics' type piece mainly for posterity?

Also of note, Gary Gygax recently confirmed that Rob is going to be doing alot of the work on Part 2 of the Castle Zagyg project, so for those folks looking forward to that, that's good news. Since the original castle dungeon was a collaboration of Gary and Rob's work, having both of them working on the CZ project is a good thing.

Omote, others.

If you haven't bought Dungeon recently and you like Greyhawk, I suggest visiting the LGJ Index. The LGJ left Dragon after issue 306 and has been published irregularly (though with a bimonthly goal) in Dungeon since issue 98.

Beyond the Living Greyhawk Gazetteer, the LGJ is the most regular source of official support for the World of Greyhawk fantasy campaign setting.

Uh... the LGG isn't exactly regular. ;)
