DLCS question

I'm curious what kind of information is in the DLCS book. I have a few players who I know would love playing in DL, but if I'm going to DM I'd want to DM in the War of the Lance era.

I stopped reading DL books after Dragons of Summer Flame, and the new DL novels aren't on my list of must-read books. All my players have read Chronicles volume 1, and I know they want to try playing in that time period.

I'm just curious if the DLCS has the information I'd need to DM in that time period, or is it mostly for 5th age, or whatever age DL is in now? I tried checking Dragonlance Nexus but that site isn't loading for me.

Likewise, the product info on this site located here: Dragonlance Campaign Setting doesn't tell me much.

I'd browse through it in a store, but the closest one that would carry it is an hour away and there's no guarantee it'd be in. If it does contain the info I'm looking for I'll probably buy it online.

Also, is there a website for upcoming DL products, or should I use the product information for that too?

If you plan on playing during the War of the Lance time period, you might want to wait until that source book comes out. Sometime next year (Apr-june somtime I think) someone help me out here.

In the meantime go ahead and get the DLCS because there is going to be so much new stuff that has been created due to the fifth age (the novels not your must read list) that has been added to the DLCS. This will give you time to read and understand it.

The DLCS gives information so that one may begin play just after the War of Souls. The next trilogy that progresses the main story on Ansalon, Krynn. You will definitely be surprised at some of the event s that have occured on Krynn.

For info on future gaming products, check out Dragonlance.com.

Our server is having a burp right now, but we will be back up shortly.

Thanks for the replies. I don't think I'll be purchasing the DLCS book. If I get impatient I'll just convert the material from 1E. And as for books after Dragons of Summer Flame, I think what turned me off of them was the short stories in Dragon Magazine a few years ago. I don't want to read about oversized dragons. Especially when there's so many other non-D&D fantasy novels to read.

dragonlance.com isn't loading either.

Maybe it's a conspiracy. Someone's attacking all DL websites.:D
