Are there any official plans regarding the "Masque of the Jade Dragon" that the Player's Handbook briefly mentions? Sounds like it could be a cool medieval/fantasy Japanese horror deal.

Speaking of Japanese horror, can any of you official folks comment on approximately when we're going to see Rokushima Taiyoo detailed in a Gazetteer? What's the forecast look like past Gazetteer 5? My guess would be that the two seas and their respective environs will be split between Gazetteer 6 and 7, maybe two Gazetteers for the clusters, and one for the five islands, bringing the end total up to ten.

Whether or not we publish a Masque of the Jade Dragon depends on the success of Masque of the Red Death, to put it bluntly.

We'd love to see it happen!

As for Rokushima Taiyoo, it's a bit further down the line for placement in a Gazetteer -- but we do have plans to include just about every realm in the Gazetteers -- and maybe a few new ones as well.

Take care,

Masque of the Jade Dragon? Want to enlighten me about this? Is it just Oriental Adventures for Gothic Earth?

Malken - Masque of the Red Death takes place during the 1890s; it's a limited setting in terms of time and place.

Other "masques" focus on other times and places -- Masque of the Jade Dragon, for instance, would be Oriental for certain. Right now, it's still in the planning stages and quite dependent on whether or not Red Death is popular with the fan-base.

We're keeping our fingers crossed.

Also, in case you haven't noticed, we registered once as Dark Duo and again as JackieandNicky, so you'll probably see either or sometimes both in the same thread.

Oh an logicbox, the Duo has stated that both seas will be covered in a single Gazetteer.

I'm more curious if it will be a single cluster, or two or three per Gaz. I can see some like the Amber Wastes being small and easily covered, but others might take some space.

I still want one BIG book about the Knights of the Shadows. Just hope it won't be munchkin and filled with dozens of new Knights PrC like the Anchorites and Paladins ones in HoL.

For me such a book should also detail the story of the SHadowborn familly thus including the Shadowlands.
