Yep, it remains thus far a rumor to the best of my knowledge.

And a rumor started on these boards none-the-less.

I've heard the board rumors about a Chronicles movie. I've also heard that a Chronicles movie would possibly be a bad idea, due to the success of Lord of the Rings and the similarities Chronicles and Krynn might have with it.

What about War of Souls? Maybe that would be a better movie to start with? Just talking hypothetically, ofcourse.

The Defenders of Magic is what they should do a movie about, the first book is almost a stand-alone, and then when(/if) it succeeds they can expand it into the whole trilogy.

I think people are getting tired of trilogies. Matrix, x-men, star wars, lotr. It just seems that everbody is making trilogies these days.

Yes there are essentially 6 star wars films but they are so seperated by years in not only the film but also in real life that they are essentially Chronicles and War of the Souls. 2 trilogies that are connected to each other but are essentialy two seperate stories.

And yes X-men is a trilogy. Whay you didn't see the phoenix symbol at the end of X-2 idicating the rise of the phoenix (the rebirth of jean in X-3). I'm sorry did I let the cat out of the bag. Give it a year or two and I guarantee you will see X-3.

I would not be surprised if they turn Spider-man into a trilogy. they have already finished SPider-man 2 slated for release next year I think. Go see "the Return of the King" and you will see the preview.

People are tired of trilogies? I rather doubt it.

But then, X-Men, when the third movie hits theatres, will still be three stories.

LotR is one story over three movies.

Star Wars.. well, Lucas should've quit when he was ahead, and the Matrix was a story for two movies stretched into three, and the ending failed miserably to get the audience to actually care what happened.

But, the first two Harry Potters were great successes, the third likely will be as well, so will the third X-Men, Spider-Man 2, and others.
Blade 3 next year could be successful enough to make it worthwhile as well to have been made.

Well, technically, it's not a trilogy. But they are starting work on a third movie, as well as a Wolverine movie.

A trilogy, traditionally, is one story. But, Hollywood likes to call anything a trilogy though (the Die Hard movies, for example).

I also accept a trilogy as 3 movies around the same theme, like the Jurassic Park or the Back to the future( or is it Back to the past)?
