Dec 23, 2003 14:19:58 I'm putting together some notes I have on Athasian Wilderness journeys. It's sort of like a widlerness survival guide for Athas.

Anybody have any interesting environmental threats you've encountered in the game? Or thought about putting into a game?

Dec 23, 2003 14:30:52 Salt Flats come to mind. Very hot, no water or food.

Dec 23, 2003 14:39:44 I had in mind something rule-related. You know, to hop on the "3.5 I'm obsessed with mechanics" bandwagon.

So something like effects on water consumption in the Salt flat, sun burn or blind, etc.

Well pretty sure it doubles the water you need, and if that wasn't actually in the rules it was a house rule for me.

As for blindness, I would say -2 to attacks, damage, all saves, and skill checks because of the reflecting surface.
