I was looking at my copy of 2E Blood Enemies again. It listed the abominations with blood scores/points and blood abilities. How often can an abomination use its blood abilities? And what does such use cost the abomination?

I have looked at d20 playtest converison of Birthright, but it wasn't very clear on the above issue either.

As far as the d20 playtest conversion goes (prior to the revision), a blood ability is a blood ability. That is to say that they function the same regardless of who (or what) has them. Every blood ability that has a limited number of uses specifies the number in the description of the blood ability itself.

As far as Blood Enemies, even though some of the specifically modified abilities aren't listed in full detail I believe that the same holds true there. That is a blood ability functions the same regardless of who (or what) has it.

It seems to be that you are reading into blood abilities (in 2nd ed) as having a special cost (in blood points) in order to use. This is not true. Blood points was another way to say blood score, the authors just weren't very clear on saying this hence the confusion.

Check out the revision to Chap 2 of the BRCS. It updates to 3.5 and includes more variants and things that people wanted (well things that they posted they wanted).
