I have a question for those of you who have read Covenant of the Forge by Dan Parkinson. It says in the book that the Kender, Castiomel Springheel had thought of a great idea for a weapon concerning a forked stick. Now does that mean he is the original creator of the Hoopak, or was it really the "true" Uncle Trapspringer.

Just curious

It could go either way really... though I see kender weapons as something a gnome would cook up... Which is weird 'cause according to the graygem myth kender were created from gnomes right? Maybe the weapon existed before kender were even created...

The stats for a hoopak are on www.kencyclopedia.com somewhere. I imagine age is as well.

In one of the short stories (can't remember which one), the half-kender who joined the Solamnic Knights invented it.

Well, what did you expect, what with a) kender tales and 2) the inconsistences of DL?
