I havn't played DnD since I moved to this small town. I have been reading dragonlance books and urge to find a game has finnaly gotten to a point that I may set up a site to play Dragonlance if I have to, just making sure no one else has like a capaign starting up, that uses chat or something of the sort. Forums is alright, but I like the idea of real time, like once or twice a week, chat sessions. Dragonlance appeals to me.

I've got one that is already running. We're towards the end of our first adventure of the campaign but it wouldn't be any problem to get you up to speed and add you in.

If you're interested just e-mail me at vader_42@hotmail.com and use the subject "dragonlance." We play every Sunday night (though not tonight due to the holidays) from 8pm eastern to 12pm eastern.

Anyway, just let me know, and happy gaming!

P.S- If anyone else is interested, feel free to e-mail me as well.

How exactly does that work.

Easily enough. We just use an AIM chatroom and play in real time. AIM also has an easy to use die roller that takes care of any cheating problems. We also use IMs to deal with things a character may want to do that the rest of the party should not know about, etc.
Other than that, the game is standard. I'll give further details to anyone interested via e-mail.

Just a little note:

I got an e-mail from someone who's address starts Alpac25. I wanted to let you know that I did send you an e-mail but it continues to come back as failed delivery. If you have an alternate address (or need to turn off a filter to allow mail from hotmail, etc) just let me know. Just didn't want you to think you'd been ignored.

I have been a regular GM/DM at http://www.roleplayinggames.net I have played and DM'd both Star wars and ADnD and have recently applied to do a DragonLance campaign, KNIGHTS OF SOLAMNIA, based about 2200 years before the First Cataclysm.

Assuming it gets approved (I think it will), I will be looking for PC's and anyone interested in playing any and all of the following are encouraged to email me at gmjoesolarte@yahoo.com

This campaign is a 3rd Edition Advanced Dungeons&Dragons Wizards of the Coast RPG and will be set on the world of Krynn and will also be making use of the newly release DRAGON LANCE CAMPAIGN SETTING, recently released by WOTC, with several changes as described below….

1) I will be running the campaign with a different timeline then the one that has appeared in most official release information.

2) The campaign will be taking place about 2000 years before the Cataclysm.

3) The Kin Slayer war’s have already taken place just a few years prior to the start of the campaign. With it, there are still a lot of bad feelings between the races in Southern Ansalon, although in northern ansalon, things are still on very good terms . Qualinesti was just founded and is a fledgling nation, Ergoth is still reeling from it’s devastating loss in the Kinslayer wars, The Silvanesti have become more alienated and aloof from the rest of the world. Ishtar already has begun their line of KingPriests, and are on very friendly terms with the Knights of Solamnia

4) the Knights of Solamnia were founded a good 400 years prior, and have already established themselves as the Representatives of Paladine on Krynn at this time, a bond recognized by all of Ansalon, from Ishtar to Silvanesti to Ergoth.

5) The Second Dragon War has already taken place….the Third Dragon War….has not taken place yet.

6) Dragons are still on the world. In the years prior to this, many dragons of Light have headed to Solamnia and northwestern Ansalon and taken up lairs in remote regions there. Several dragons of light directly serve some of the most powerful members of the Knights of Solamnia, which further the Knighthood’s claims of being Paladine’s chosen.

7) Most of Krynn still remains untamed. While there are notable nations (Solamnia, Ergoth, Ishtar, Silvanesti, Qualinesti, Balifor, etc), the fact is most of the continent remains untamed, where the forces of darkness and villains of all sorts gather and consort. Barbarian tribes are common in this era as well. Most cities are city/states (ie, Tarsis), although those within aforementioned nations maintain vast internal works as a nation.

I anticipate, during the course of this campaign, a LOT of social activity’s within the continent of Krynn, adventuring, and large scale war’s at times as well. Players whom have experience with 5th Edition WARHAMMER FANTASY will find they will be quite valuable as the campaign develops into open large scale warfare, despite whatever race or class they choose to take.

Applicants to this campaign are not limited to just being Knights of Solamnia. The following races are encouraged for PC’s, although they are free to contact me if they have something else in mind.

Humans (of whatever nationality they desire). Note that in this era, that only Humans may become Knights of Solamnia or even Squires.

Dwarves (Hill or Mountain)

Kender

Elves- Silvanesti elves are allowed, but it must be noted as the Silvanesti just did their Kinslayer war for racial purity and will be more aloof and openly arrogant towards humans of this era (or should be). Perhaps as Wizards of High Sorcery. , but I am welcome to it if a PC makes a good case. Qualinesti, Kagonesti, and Half Elves are all welcome submissions.

Gnomes

The following guidelines will be applied to the following character classes:

Knights of Solamnia In this age, the Knighthood is more and more embracing it’s position of the defenders of Paladine and of the god’s of light. As such, Knights in this era should hold open prejudices against the Orders of High Sorcery, even those of the White Robes. At this point in time, only humans can be accepted into the Knighthood. Characters whom choose this will be newly knighted to the Order of the Crown, and will be starting as level 4 Fighters, level 1 Knights of the Crown, per the new DRAGON LANCE sourcebook

Barbarians Barbarians may be of many different nationality’s and such. They are not limited to being just ‘plainsmen’. Characters are encouraged to create their own unique tribes or clans or whatever, as well as historys and such, providing they live in remote regions of Ansalon, or perhaps visiting from a unknown continent.

Wizards Any Wizard will be a newly appointed Wizard whom have just completed the Test. At this point in time, Wizards are starting to face some distrust from others over their powers. Wizards will start at level 4 Wizards, level 1 Order of Magic prestige class, as described in the DragonLance Sourcebook. Races should be human, half elf, or any form of elf in this era.

Clerics while I would specifically like Clerics of Paladine, Kiri-Jolith, Habakkuk, or Mishakal during the campaign, I am open to other deity’s if the PC makes a compelling case.

Kender, Dwarves, Gnomes I am of course willing and open to these races as well. Contact me if you have any specific ideas or concepts for the campaign.

Any further questions? Don't feel free to email me at gmjoesolarte@yahoo.com
