O.k., here's my dilemma: My players are seasoned Greyhawkers, perhaps a little too seasoned. I mean, they've seen it all, that's why I need an adevnture hook they have never heard of. It doesn't have to be obscure, just interesting. Something that will really take hold of the imagination and suck them in.

Any and all suggestions appreciated.

For what it is worth, my current campaign involves good PCs as citizens of the Great Kingdom battling against the aggressive Nyrondese army in the lower Flinty Hills during the opening months of the Greyhawk Wars. Good guys allying with the priesthood of Hextor to defend their homelands seems interesting to us.

The above idea is pretty cool actually, I'd say use that or take my less interesting suggestion.

Run a campaign in Zeif or that area and make the characters all pplay arabian-style characters and set your adventures based on arabic myths etc. You could probably find some arabic myths at pantheon.org

Also, if you only need one adventure to have an interesting hook, check out CF and look at "Little Trouble in Big Greyhawk" it's an adventure featuring a magic pet-shop, a tiefling theif and a self-centered elf. Quite different, not exactly Greyhawkish, but different nontheless.
