Reorx's Proxy in Planescape

Jan 02, 2004 20:28:49 I was reading over my Planescape material again, and when I got to the proxy section in the Arcadia book from Planes of Law, I noticed that the DL dwarven god, Reorx, had as his proxy a "blustery dwarf named Flint". I never noticed this before, so am I correct in assuming that this proxy would be the one and only Flint Fireforge? I see no other mention of his name and he is only referred to as Flint.

I've always believed it to be so since it also says some thing like "he loves sitting under his tree......" Flint always did the same in the novels......

Jan 02, 2004 21:25:56 In fact, upon his death, Flint was said to sit beneath a tree whittling and grumbling about that obnoxious kender (none other than the legendary Tasslehoff Burrfoot). I don't know why Reorx would bother investing Flint with proxy power, Flint never seemed to want to promote Reorx's ideals much. He never seemed to want to do anything at all. But the will of the powers is mysterious afterall.

Jan 03, 2004 11:40:12 The Dragonlance goes were always a little funny. I like Flint being his avatar rather then that Gate Crasher guy he had in later books.

Jan 03, 2004 14:09:44 Flint was never Reorx's avatar, merely a dwarf who enjoyed metal smithing.

Now, Dougan Redhammer! HE was a character! Big hat, funny coat, always up for luring people into adventures! :D

I didn't like him to much. A bit to flamboant for my taste. Of coarse i'm a big Moradin fan so I could be a bit bias
