It's a bit of speculative fiction set within Sigil's Realm Below, perhaps more commonly known as UnderSigil. Just don't catch a guvner hear you call it that as it's an improper name for the place. *chuckle*
Maybe this'll start some speculation on both that area, and the Palace of the Jester which has some ties in with the story as well. There's also a bit of an intentional homage to M.R. James' story 'Count Magnus' in the appearance of one of the characters. Wonderfully creepy story and it crept into the character which has appeared in my campaign several times, for good or for ill, the PC's aren't sure which.
The Marut's Quarry
This was also prompted by Choleric Psion's story which also involved a Marut. Made me remember that story I'd started so I sat down the other day to finish it. Hopefully it's up to everyone's standards. I take no claims of responsibiliy for those injured by my grammer. ;)
