Just wondering if anybody here knows when Sovereign is going to be releasing the GM screen to distributors. Since theyve been selling them on their web site for over a month now if I'm not mistaken. I've had my order in with my local store since it was supposed to be available and it still hasn't been arrived. According to the store owner Sovereign isn't getting them to the distributors and until the distributor gets it he can't get it.

While I like the idea of ordering online I also like the ability to support my local gaming store by buying products there.

WHATS THE HOLD UP??

Good evening!

I'm not sure where your retailer is getting its information, but the Dragonlance Dungeon Master's Screen has been available in stores since the middle of December. Our products are carried by all major distributors, including Alliance, ACD, Diamond, and dozens of others.

Renae Chambers, our Director of Sales, would love to help make sure you can get your any of our products through your local game retailer. Either you or the store manager is welcome to contact her with the following contact information:

Thanks Jamie.

I can't blame ya for believing there was a delay. I haven't seen them around here either (New England).

Time to go online shopping....

Yeah, I live in the Baltimore/DC area, and I haven't seen the screen in any bookstores, hobbystores, gamestores or anything, and believe me, I've been looking. Of course, the closing of the Wizards of the Coast stores will help to complicate the matter even more (that decree REALLY annoyed me) since it is a Wizards/Hasbro product ultimately. No one has even heard of it. I can find TONS of the Forgotten Realms screens though...

We shipped out a ton of screens, so they're definitely in the hands of the game distributors, as well as the retailers who stay on top of things. Renae and I put out a sales newsletter to everyone yesterday with a reminder that the Dragonlance Dungeon Master's Screen is currently available. It certainly didn't help that the product came out just before Christmas, which is not the best time to release anything.

Don't be afraid to call us if you can't get our products at your local game retailer. We'll be happy to work with them to make sure that our products are available to them, and ultimately, to you. As a last resort, remember you can always order online from MargaretWeis.com -- but we want everyone to support your local game store!

Contact Renae Chambers via e-mail at 262-374-0298, fax at 262-248-6103, or e-mail at sales@sovpress.com for any questions regarding sales or product availability.

Thanks!

As far as the book trade goes, I'm afraid there aren't many out there. Though orders are strong for more traditional "book"-type products, the DM Screen is a small, bendable item that doesn't shelf well and many book stores don't know what to do with a product like that.

The DM Screen is definitely available through hobby game retailers and many online game vendors as well. We're still checking out the Amazon.com situation, and we'll let you know.

Thanks!
