SPOILER WARNING

Hello All, can someone explain me whats true and whats false?

Is Dragons of a New Age canon? because I found some weird things in the trilogy like:

(just to name a few)

Strum Brightblade Dragonlace
Kitiara traped in some place called the Gray
Caramon and Tikanearly a hundred years old

and some others.

As far as I can remember Kitiara`s body and soul was taken by Lord Soth and Strum never had a Dragonlance.

Now I have started reading the War of souls and it says that it had been 30 years since the defeat of Chaos and Tika is dead and Caramon Drops dead like in chapter four, when in Dragons of a New Ae it says its been 50 years and both are alive, nerly at the end of Dragons ( wich Im truly disapointed with) Skie left Krynn to search for Kitiara and at the start of the War of Souls he is in Krynn.

Well to sum things up Im really confused with the two trylogies, can someone explain?

OH, by the way,, Im a few chapters from finishing the war of the souls first book so maybe some of this things clear up in the other books but I dont think thats gonna happen

Well, first off, Kitiara was really never in the Gray. I read somewhere, it was either in WoS trilogy or in the DLCS or AoM books, but Takhisis tricked Skie into thinking Kitiara's spirit was in the Gray.

Skie never left Krynn either. Takhisis made him think he was in the Gray. Cant remember the specifics but thats what I remember.

If these are off, then I'm sorry. I'm going entirely off memory right now.

Strum Brightblades Dragonlace:
The knights did have the Dragonlances when they left from Sancrist to High Clerist Tower. Even there is no mention that Sturm had lance, maybe he still took one, but never really had time/change to use it. And after his dead it was NOT burried with him, and eventually got to the hands of Majeres, who kept it as relic. Maybe, just Maybe...

Kitiara trapped in some place called the Gray?
Skie believed that Kitiaras souls was travelling/lost in Gray-dimension, and was hoping to save her somehow in brought back. Maybe this was Takhisis doing, or maybe Lord Soth freed Kitiaras Souls. Or maybe some other lie. But main thing is that Skie believed this and try to find the soul, but he never did...

Caramon and Tika nearly a hundred years old:
Yep. They were in their 50s during Chaos War. During Jean Rabes first trilogy (which mostly happens 31-33 years after Chaos War) they are in their 90s. And during War of Souls (happens 38 years after Chaos War) over 100 years old. Again - Maybe gods blessed these heroes with long life and younger looks...

You sure it's not Huma's Dragonlance you're referring to in the Dragons of a New Age trilogy?

The main lance in DoaNA is Huma's Lance...but for some reason, I recall there being mention of Sturm's lance (which I didn't take literally, but figuratively...it was the Lance Laurana used to defend Sturm's body).

Both trilogies have continuity mistakes...but just tweak a couple things here and there, and they fit just fine together. Some of your quetsions (like about Skie) will be answered by the end of the War of Souls.

Oh...and if you're having a hard time getting your head around Caramon and Tika being that old when they finally bit it (Caramon was 95 and Tika was 89) then you can always use Tales of the Lance which states that both Caramon and Tika were in possesion of an item (at one time) that stalled the effects of aging. Both had one of the items of the Trinity of Love (I think that's what it was called).

And, I thought at one point, it was stated that Krynnish humans roughly live to 100 years old (if left to their own devices).

There are two Dragonlances in the novel: Huma and Strum

The lance of Huma is in his tomb and the one from Strum is in 3 fragments one in the possesion of Goldmoon other Palin ( I gues i dont remember) and the las one is at the inn of the last home.

I don't think I've even read anything about this 'Strum', so who's to say that he didn't have a lance?

pddisc is pointing out that you've spelled his name incorrectly. The character's name is Sturm, not Strum.

I was a little worried that you thought the character's name was actually Strum, which would be a silly name for a knight, but perhaps not a bard. I may have been a little harsh due to having had a little wine beforehand - I too am human, and occasionally fall to the weaknesses inherent.

No problem, the thing is english is not my first language and since im reading the novels really fast (Chronicles, Legends, Second Generation, Dragons of Summer Flame, Dragons of a New Age and War of Souls in 3 months) to catch up to the fifth age and the new module (Im a new fan to Dragonlance) I really misread the name, I really tought that was his name but now that you mention it really sound silly altough I dont know wath the word means I imagine is the name to the movement you make to a guitar when you play it
