Its been a long time since I played the game and now after years I want back in. Since my Navy days, when I gave it all up, I have pondered the thoughts of a new campaign. Well I need minatures to start up my imagination again. Got any minatures you want to part with or know someone that does let me know I am interested in purchasing them. If you are interested email me at stargazer1975@hotmail.com. Oh and please only serious offers I am not interested in negative feedback on this email. I thank you and good day

It seem to me that DS's miniatures are quite rare now. The molds are merely dust magnets nowadays so who has DS minis are surely to keep them as treasures. I know I am. Sorry.

I agree but ebay is my best bet for now. I thought by going directly to the source (here) I might get lucky. But yes its hard to find ds minatures. I think about substitutes and what would work but have yet to find a good bald (naked) dwarf. hehe.

All of my Darksun minis came from e-bay. Certain sets are very hard to get. Also look at other figure sets that work.

Dune Reapers= Tryanid Gaunts (Warhammer 40K)
Silt Runners= Lizard Saurus Men (Warhammer)
New Races= anything neat that can be found
Undead = undead of any set
toys= various things. Nothing wrong buying cheap plastic toys as you find them. Some are better molded than the true DnD ones.

Wish I could do attachments to show what I have done...

Thanks for the ideas, I was thinking of alternatives and perhaps you got something there. I need to get a hold of the monster manuals from Dark Sun so I can compare them with whats out there.

Steve Jackson Games has a box of minis of Giant Ants that is in regular distribution right now. Nothing more perfect than these for kanks.

Well, I'm not really looking for a child right now, but make me some type of offer. I'm into gaming (obviously) so I'd be willing to trade for gaming books. I collect the new D&D minis, though I'm pretty set on those. Besides, your from Youngstown, my alma mater, so I have to treat you nice!

Did I also mention that I have a Dark Sun art portfolio signed by Brom?! DOes anyone else have one, as it is the only one I've ever seen.

this is what I have(not for sale) Sorry.

one dragon king(with staff)
Four crodlu riders
sixteen jazhals(just love them)
one half-giant male/female(pack of two)
one heavy war chariot(with two crodlu)
one wild half-giant(if I remember the tag right)
non DS minis
two wemics(green age)
two yuhan-ti
one pit fighter(among many--from reaper minisWARLORDS collection)
two wyverns(Jagged Cliffs)
An army of skavens(warhammerfigs--subtitutes for the Tari race)
About ten planescape minis--among them are six doomgards and 3 chaositeks (their armor has a shell-like look)
one true githyanki fig
And tree darkelfs with topnots(warhammer games--subtitute for )githiankys
a balrog to represent a 29th level dragon(with sword and whip)
a few weaponless(no guns) minis from the DOOM game
etc etc.... Being a mini adict, I have in my possession at least a 1000 figs so I'm never with out an option.

Oh and I even have a fig that seem to have been mold for a Silt cleric representation( human wearing a trenchcot with a high buttonned collar covering half its face. Its trenchcot has long ample sleeves and the cleric's hands seem to be made of sand/silt. Its head is bald as if it has lost its hair long ago.

Something I bought to use as Githyanki were some hunters for the TAU army of Warhammer 40K. They work well as Gith except for their posture and modifications of weapons. For 25 dollars you get about 16 of them. Assembly required but this allows you to place some personality into them.

Other things...Wizkids MageKnights Pyramid series has a lot of mummy / desert related creatures.

Related to the toys mentioned earlier are the Yu-Gi-Oh figures. I found a bunch of bees that work well enough as Pulp Bees. They sit 1- 1 1/2 inches with large stingers in position to attack.

From there- check out Reaper Minitures website. Many of the creatures there can easily be used. Their site allows you to see everything they have to offer.
