Read on enworld.org recently that WOTC is putting out a Planar Handbook--Player's Guide to the Planes.

Anyone have any information on this puppy yet? I'm starting up a Planescape campaign for 3.5E based on the Planewalker.com stuff and a bunch of homebrew goodness, and I'm curious how much I may have to work in order to fit this new (likely expensive-as-Baator) rulebook into my game.

And for the kids over at Planewalker.com: thanks for all the great stuff, and if you need any help, I'd be happy to lend a hand! I need editing experience anyway before I graduate from UConn, and what better way to get it than to work on the best setting in the entire history of RPGs?!

I don't think there's been a ton of information about the contents of the book released yet. However the authors of the book, Bruce Cordell and Gwen Kestrell, have a nice track record and I'd say the planes are in good hands.

Mr Cordell wrote the Planescape 'Guide to the Ethereal' (and Die Vecna Die. I think the first book very much more than makes up for a few sentences in the second book).

And while I can't place anything Gwen Kestrell has written, she has worked with Mr Cordell before. They both collaborated on the FR Underdark book, which I was impressed with.

From the hints that I've seen, it's going to be more spells, items, PrC's, details for players out on the planes, etc than anything much to do with Planescape/Sigil/Factions etc. But again, I think the planes are in good hands, and I'll be getting the book myself as soon as it comes out.

Gwen Kestrel co-writes wizards.com's Fey Feature, so that gives a good sample of her writing.

I agree; she seems a fine choice.

I love fey feature! I didn't like Underdark at all, though.

She also co author'd Valar's Book of Erotic Fantasy.
