I know this appear every so often as a thread, but I was thinking about the athas maps and looking at distances the other day.
One question bubbled to the surface........
Where is the equator ???
If the tyr region map and the cliffs region map are put togther you still only have a relatively small area in relation to the planet.

Anyone want to have a guess at the hemisphere - northern or southern ???

The generally accepted idea is that the game area is way down in the southern hemisphere. Apparently this is hinted at in a couple of as-yet unpublished releases as well as being confirmed by the original designers at GenCon). Here is a decent representation, by the hugely talented Dawnstealer

Thanks Kamelion.
Dawnstealers images are pretty good !!!

You don't happen to know if anyone out there has done a flat version of the world ????

You said that there is some unreleased material that eludes to some info on the larger world.
Do you know if this is likely to become available ???

'Soon' They say.

'Sometime within the next few weeks' They say.

As above, except weeks is either months or days.

'We can't give a specific date yet . . . ' They say.

The material in question would be the now mythical 'Secrets of the Dead Lands' accessory, currently in the works by the athas.or team. No concrete date has been given as to its state of completion, but hopefully we'll see something by summertime at least. The accessory was in developement by TSR, but never released before they pulled the plug on DS. I'm sure the team is hardly . . errr . . I mean, hard at work (j/k) on getting it primed up for release.

Unfortunately Dregoth Ascending is the same way, at least 3/4 of it is.
