#1zombiegleemaxFeb 13, 2004 10:05:14 | I'm a great fan of Lord Soth, former Darklord of Sithicus. Which novel tells the history of his death? I dunno know nothing over Dragonlance campaign setting ( i play mostly Ravenloft). |
#2talinthasFeb 13, 2004 10:07:36 | book three of the war of souls trilogy. |
#3brimstoneFeb 13, 2004 10:28:10 | I think he meant his first death. Or as I like to call it, his "death." And WoS has his "destruction." (or "redemption" if you wish) Anyway...if you are talking about the story about how he became undead...that is Book 6 of the Warriors series called Lord Soth and it's written by Edo van Belkom. |
#4dragontoothFeb 14, 2004 1:22:12 | His story was first told in Cronicles Spring Dawnings. They might of mentioned it in the legend series as well, but not sure. |
#5zombiegleemaxFeb 14, 2004 8:30:20 | it was the destruction from him, so i will look for the book three of the War of Souls. I got Knight of the Black Rose and Spectre, both tell a little about his past. Thx for replying. |

#7zombiegleemaxFeb 15, 2004 18:30:44 | Another question.... it is me or Lord Soth on Dragonlance is only "one more" bad guy? Since in ravenloft he is ONE of the bad guys ( behind only Azalin and Strahd), but i don't see him much on the Dragonlance saga books... it is impression or he is badly neglected? and why Margareth Weis don't accepted that he was on Ravenloft? where he was one of the main characters? |
#8silvanthalasFeb 16, 2004 9:12:00 | Originally posted by The Dark One He could have been A Bad Guy, but, imo, W&H painted themselves into a corner and didn't know what to do with him. So, yeah, it really makes me wonder why they (and so many other people) get so upset over his being taken to RL when they had no intention of using him anyways. But, basically, it seems to come down to the fact that Soth was their (W&H's) toy... even though Soth and everything else DL was owned by TSR at the time. And the toy went ignored until somebody else wanted to play with it. |
