Welcome to Darksun Before any fanatic come down to shoot you :D I would suggest that you do a small search of both old and new board, there is plenty of adventure ideas and plots around, as well as many things about the history of Darksun.

And more, go to my web site, there is some nice informations and some maps you might want to use. If you bother go in my links section, you will find that it is the ***HUGEST*** links page over the internet !!! Muhahahahaha! ok ok.

My site link is in my signature.

EDIT : I guess I was too slow hehehe

Silly frog, trix are for kids!

I know, that made no sense whatsoever, but I'm in a silly mood this morning.

Plus I haven't had my coffee yet, I'm sure flip is feeling my pain.

You'll find a map of Athas that I created. I just haven't gotten the key for it done yet.

Welcome aboard (wow, been saying that alot lately).

Any specific questions? Kinda hard to write a comprehensive disertation about the entire setting. I would suggest taking a little time to lurk through the boards for info (we're always hashing out some info or ideas), but if you can't find an answer, by all means, ask.

Just noticed myself that the map was in another thread... :D
Sorry, if I annoyed someone...

EDIT: Just found current timeline, so I'm not asking about that...

In the Athas is there any forests left or somekinda notdesert place?

Also I give thanks to those, who answered my questions. *A humble bow*

I'll answer that, but first I really, really, really suggest puchasing the first Dark Sun box set. Its a measly 5 bucks for the PDF from SVGames.com or RPGNow.com. Has all the basic info in it. You can pick and choose from there if you want to delve any deeper into the setting material (and into the pocket book). You could also try and find it from an auction site like ebay, normally for about 20-35 bucks if your lucky.

Yup, there are a few forests. In the Tyr region, also known as the Tablelands, theres a small forest between the city-states of Gulg and Nibenay (Gulg is actually situated within the forest's borders) called the Cresent Forest. Its a nasty place when the two cities are skirmishing, or if Gulg is holding a hunting festival, or if your party happens to stumble upon any number of mean, savage critters with pointy teeth and a big appetite. Behind the large wall of mountains called the Ringing Mountains is a massive jungle known as the Forest Ridge. Its hot, humid, dense, and full of everyone's favorites: cannibal halflings. Not a friendly place either to be sure. And even if the halflings don't eat you, the sloths sure will.

Specific info on the Cresent Forest can be found in the Ivory Triangle supplement (details the cities of Nibenay and Gulg along with the surrounding region, damn fine book if you ask me). Detailed info on the Forest Ridge is sparse at best, mostly a few scattered tid bits throughout several different books, but nothing overly insightfull. Not much has been done with any of these areas as far as fan based material goes either.

Wow! I haven't seen that yet! It's great! Just a suggestion: there's a preciser map of the region of Kalidnay in "Merchant House of Amketch" (Village of Red Obelisk, Rumish Rock, ruins od Three Rocks, etc.) Maybe there's some elements to add here...
Hope it helps!
