Could someone clearify for me the correct order the hexads are suppose to occur in? I realize that Azalin brings one out of order, but looking through the modules I'm just a wee bit confused on which is which.

"The light of the sky shining over the dead,
Shall gutter and fail, turning all to red." is the eclipse in Night of the Walking Dead.

"In the house of Daegon, the sorcerer born,
Though life, unlife, unliving shall scorn."

refers to the events of Feast of Goblyns. It's never specified exactly which event, but probably the formation of Daglan, the destruction of Daglan, or the unearthing of the Crown of Souls.

"The lifeless child of Stern mother found,
Speaks of true death, hammered and bound."

Refers to the ghost of Charlotte Stern in "Ship of Horror"

"Seventh time the son of suns doth rise,
To send the knave to an eternity of cries."

Refers to the awakening of Anketepot in "Touch of Death"

"Inajira will make his fortunes reverse,
Dooming all to live with the dreaded curse."

(I think) Refers to Inajira's attempt to recover his book of keeping
in "Roots of Evil"

"The bodiless will journey to time before,
Where happiness to hate makes land of lore."

Refers to Azalin sending the headless PCs back in time to witness Sergei von Zarovich's wedding in "From the Shadows."

So basically Az screwed up by sending his headless captives back to the wedding before Inajira did whatever it is he's supposed to do to make his fortunes reverse.

(Note that the "order" refers to the order they are written in the prophecy, and the order they were supposed to happen in, but not the order the adventures were published.)

The Daegon one came first, if I recall correctly...

Yeah, I thought so too. I was going from a list I found on the net. Don't have access to my books right now. I assumed it was right., but maybe that guy switched them up.

In any event, the part that was "out of order" in canon were the last two.

Yes, actually that order above is incorrect. The correct order of the Hexad is as follows:

"In the house of Daegon, the sorcerer born,
Though life, unlife, unliving shall scorn."

"The lifeless child of Stern mother found,
Speaks of true death, hammered and bound."

"Seventh time the son of suns doth rise,
To send the knave to an eternity of cries."

"The light of the sky shining over the dead,
Shall gutter and fail, turning all to red."

"Inajira will make his fortunes reverse,
Dooming all to live with the dreaded curse."

"The bodiless will journey to time before,
Where happiness to hate makes land of lore."

Of course, this causes obvious problems with those DM's trying to run a set of players through the Hexad adventures, as the levels fluctuate too much. But the last two can (and are meant) to be run back to back, at the very least.

That'll teach me to trust everything I read on the internet.

Sorry for the confusion.

Yep, starting at 6th (?) level in Feast of Goblyns, 8th in Ship of Horrors, and then starting at 1st in Night of the Walking Dead etc. gets quite annoying. Of course, switching these

"In the house of Daegon, the sorcerer born,
Though life, unlife, unliving shall scorn."

"The lifeless child of Stern mother found,
Speaks of true death, hammered and bound."

with these

"The light of the sky shining over the dead,
Shall gutter and fail, turning all to red."

"Seventh time the son of suns doth rise,
To send the knave to an eternity of cries."

and keeping the two last (obviously changing the adventures accordingly) doesn't make much of a difference and gives a nice level progression throughout a campaign.

Another great thing with these adventures is that the four first can easily be emptied of Conjunction connections and run as single adventures without any ties to the others.

The other good way is didnt switch anyhing and just improve stats of Zombie Lord and other monsters to make them suitable challenge for high lvl parties.

But if you didn't play cannon Ravenloft you can freely switch as you wish.

In my campaing I run all modules of GC with different parties (and even with diferend players).

Inajira is also Arijani spelled backwards (fortunes reverse), the domain lord of Sri Raji....seeing as he's a dark lord, and (optimally) dead when the PC's leave, his fortunes, as well as his name, reverse

Never did like the 6th Conjuction manual, and Sri Raji is just cool
