Mar 09, 2004 13:18:20 Does anyone know of a timeline of when the different Ravenloft adventures take place? I've got a general idea about some of them based on timelines in the different books but I would love to see an over all timeline of all the Ravenloft adventures and in what order they happen.

Mar 09, 2004 14:30:12 What you want is John Mangrum's unofficial timeline. It used to be hosted on the kargatane site, but not anymore. You can probably find a lingering copy of it with a google search.

Mar 10, 2004 13:26:59 Thanks, that's close enough to what I was looking for my needs. I was looking to put the published adventures in order so if I wanted to play them in order of the timeline I'd know which one to run when.

From that I was able to make a partial list. Here's what I have so far (if anyone can fill in the blanks please feel free)...

The Forgotten Terror 751 (according to module)

I believe Dark of the Moon takes place around 765, since events in the module are well advanced compared to Gregor Zolnik's write-ups in Darklords and Domains of Dread.

The adventures within Book of Crypts - Bride of Mordenhain take place prior 739 (Adam Wrath) I think 735 or so
The adventures within Chilling Tales from 730 - 740 (the last one is sure was in 740)
Forged of Darkness - not an adventure
Islands of Terror - not an adventure
Vecna Reborn - near 752 I think. Between 750 and 756 to be sure
Die Vecna Die - after Vecna Reborn and between 750 and 756
TSR Jam 1999 – The Hearts Final Beat - Between 750 and 756

Mar 17, 2004 17:30:03 "The Forgotten Terror" should be an immediate follow-up to the "Castle Spulzeer" adventure, assuming these modules are being played as a pair by the same PCs. Otherwise, "Forgotten Terror" could take place at any old time after 749 ... or even more than once, with different adventurers each time, assuming that the unquiet spirit of Marble isn't destroyed permanently.
