I've been fiddling with the Monster Summoning lists from ToA, looking to see if I can't get them to take more advantage of the black/grey touched templates. I also removed all of the celestial/fiendish templates and replaced them with the elemental template (including the paraelements, to be included in the next ToA release). This list isn't official or anything (there's still the issue of the non-ogl MotP templates) but feel free to use abuse or refuse as you will

Summon Monster – Athasian elemental variant

Creatures in bold are found in Terrors of Athas.
Creatures in italics are found in Terrors of the Deadlands.

(1) The creature may only be summoned into an aquatic environment.

It occured to me a while ago that an alternate summoning chart, a la this, would allow me to remove the outer (demi-)planes from my DS cosmology, and just leave it with a few rare portals (cracks?) to alternate planes (worm-world, etc.)

Happy to be here, feel welcome amongst fellow prog. lovers and players of the great DS game.

Hmm Kamelion aren't you a member of some prog. forum?
Vaguely remember something like that.

But this is getting off topic from the great list Kamelion has made which I am definately going to use, thank a lot for that Kam:D .

I like the list. Really makes use of Dark Sun, and keeps the outer planes from influencing any more than just Dregoth's portal.

Thanks - much appreciated I'll have some stats to go with the (para)elemental templates in a short while...

Thanks Kamelion. These look great and the flavour will work fine. I'll probably let the players switch the elements depending upon their favoured element if they wish

Welcome . My first version just had the base template without an element specified (elemental hawk, elemental owl etc) and I'd also be tempted to allow players to switch elements in play if appropriate. The wood element might even make an interesting replacement for hardcore preservers and the like...
