I recently bought the Campaign Setting to adapt for my d20 Modern campaign. I truly love this book. Anyhow, I was wondering if the D*M Arms & Equipment Guide, Xenoforms and The Killing Jar are worth getting.

I am sure you can get them for a song.

I am sure it will help your own campaign.

I picked up Xenoforms and the Arms & Equipment Guide. They're both really good, if not just the flavor text alone. I also downloaded "The Final Church" and am waiting for a copy of The Killing Jar to arrive.

I like the sci-fi genre. I am still trying to drum up interest in Star Frontiers. I will keep as a side game.

I bought some Alternity products, and hope to find some players.

As many people buy these books and products, you would think more play them.

The sci-fi community doesn't know what they are missing!!

didnt see this post until recently... alright here goes.

The Killing Jar - has been rated the best written adventure of all time by a number of websites, and reviewers including Dungeon Magazine. it is fantastic fun, is open ended, and is well worth the buy.

Arms and Equipment Guide - includes full color images, and stats for hundreds of weapons, and interesting equipment across the board. it is well worth the buy since it is cheap, but from a "realism" perspective alot of the weapons have silly stats which match up with hollywood views on the weapons better than reallife experience... that is true of most games though.

Xenoforms is one of the coolest and funnest 'monster manuals' I own, and features some truly wonderful gems in it. the artwork manages to be disturbing, while at the same time having a good sci fi vibe to it, and the writeups are all intelligent and well pulled off.

The Final Church is interesting, I dont regret the purchase but it wasnt the greatest read of all time, I can see why they never went through with publishing it.

if you can find them, I recommend getting all of the Dark MAtter novels, they capture the setting perfectly, and are very good stories.

You will, when they make it a campaign setting for D20 Future/Modern.

They will update it to show recent history and add results from past adventures.

no need to buy expensive new books when perfectly good old cheap books already exist. Killing Jar is touted as one of the best adventures, unless they beat that then it would be silly to miss it in favour of new shiny boring adventures.

I bought my entire darkmatter collection, every book published for the game, for $12 total... and would do it again, and again, in a heart beat. I will be surprised if they actually rerelease darkmatter in full over again.
