Nice. I like the forestmaster template, although I did notice a minor typo (aura of clam instead of aura of calm).

Yeah, I noticed that too. Sigh. That's, uh, the special ability of the reefmaster template.

Cheers,

Hehe, yeah, that's it. It is very cool how the template isn't all about forests (surface ones) and can include reefmasters.

Hmm, a reefmaster hippocampus protecting an underwater kelp forest populated by dolphins and sea elves against the predations of sahuagin and merrow? Hehe, how wonderfully vicious.

Excellent guys!

I've said it many times...I really can't wait to see this book! I can almost guarantee it will be my favorite DL book since the last Bestiary. (I've got a thing for those books, I guess)

Whoa, this book is going to be hard to top! I like the idea of the noble draconians, the forestmaster is top notch! I like how there can, potentially, be a forestmaster for just about every forest on Krynn (which there isn't, but can't a boy dream?).

Seriously, if everything else is this good, I think I may have trouble putting the book down (I always fall asleep reading D&D books, hopefully this one will be different).

I'm hoping to see some of the critters from Chaos in the Bestiary. Shadow wights, flame/chaos dragons, the tentacle monster and crab like guys from the Minotaur isles, Grimbough, the twisted Centaurs and Satyrs, etc. Oh, and let's not forget the death knights!
Any chance we'll see any of these guys?

Death knights are already included in the DLCS. As for the rest, let's just say Andre' and I dug really, really deep into older modules, short stories, novels and other sources to come up with the list which Sovereign Press approved. So, along with some all-new creatures, you should see the bulk of the existing favorites.

Cheers,
Cam

How about everyone's favorite Deathknight, Lord Soth?

Some monsters I want to see in the enhancements that should also be in the Bestiary:

Shadow Wights(the most horrific creature that to my knowledge there has ever been in anything *EVER*), Daemons, Fire Dragons, and Goatsucker Birds! Although, actually, I think that this was already talked about, and that Cam did research and found out that a goatsucker bird was just a normal bird, not one that sucks the blood/guts/what-have-you out of goats, and kender named them as such because they wished that they did(sorta like that one lake that was called Monster Lake or something).

This may only be half-related, but in the 3.0 and 3.5 MM, there is an entry for all the standard races, except human. Now, given that this is probably because of the flexibility of humans, and so they can't really be put down in a stat block thing, I was wondering what the Bestiary was going to do with this.

If there are going to be entries for Elves of Krynn, Kender, Minotaurs of Krynn and so on, wouldn't it make sense to have a Humans of Krynn section, detailing the different skills and feats random people might have regionally? Because even if people are going to be that different, so too are the other races random people.

For example, do a lot of Solamnic commoners have the honour-bound feat, or is that something that only the knights take seriously? Are all the Nerakan populace thugs and thieves? Are the Ergothmen *all* sailors?

Yes, a humans of Ansalon entry would be really cool.

Not that I intend anyone to take this seriously, as it's purely in jest, but what about a Troll-cow? A regenerating food source! :D

Actually about the humans and elves entry I would rather they leave all those out. Unless it has some unique special abilities.

You'll see everything you just mentioned (except for the oft-neglected goatsucker bird) in the BESTIARY OF KRYNN. In addition to shadow wights, you'll also see their very-scary cousins, the frost wights.
