Now of course I am the biggest fan of the Taky/Nerakan Knights you could ever find, and I was just hoping to catch a moment of Jamie's or Chris' time for a request.

This thread is mostly about what DL fans out there would like to see in a sourcebook about the Knighthoods of Ansalon.

1) Lyrics to a couple of marching songs at the beginning of each chapter. I find this helps set the mood, plus it really helps the DM or Bard sometimes, when he needs a ingame tune on the fly.

2) Offical ranks of each knighthood.

3) Orgainisation of their armies. I have only speculated that they press-gang and blackmail lots of people into their service, as well as imploy mercs. I would just like a good idea of the army sizes and how they are made up.

I just really hope the Knights of Neraka actually find some honor in the Age of Mortals. I loved them in Summer Flame and Second Generation, but I just find them so lame since then. The only one I liked in the War of Souls was Medan, all the rest are armored thugs and hooligans.

Hehe I like the marching song idea! Another thing I would like to see in such a book would be a 3.5 version of the secret societies within the Order of the Skulls which appeared in Heroes of Hope...statistics of the major players in those groups, their agendas and so on and so forth...

Ageed wholeheartedly. They were cool as the antithesis of the Knights of Solamnia, with their own dark brand of honor.

I don't care for them as simple thugs.

Definitely! I've toyed with the idea of having prestige classes for these groups, but in a way, that's overkill.

Still, detail on these secret societies, their organization, the major players, etc. would be cool.

One thing I would like to see in a book on knightly orders would be details of lesser-known knighthoods, such as the Order of the Gold Lance or the Knights of the Divine Hammer.

I kinda like the armoured thugs and hooligan aspect myself. It is almost comical to image the city of Sanction being seiged by prostitutes and drunken sellswords.

Is this because you want to have a larger setting for your possible character, or a player in your group? Because if it is, then just have that guy work his way up and restore the Knighthood to it's previous glory!

I think that this is going to be the way that writer's would do it in their books anyways. They will write some trilogy of a descendent of some old knight, who died in the War of Souls, and is bound and determined to restore the Knights of Neraka to their old Knights of Tak glory.

It is something that I am doing in my current campaign. The KoN are working with the Ogre Titans, Onyxsablet, and the Minotaurs that overran the Silvanesti to capture elves for the Titan's rituals.

One of the KoN is the descendent of one of the Generals that died in the Chaos Wars and he is going to help the PC's break up the trade ring if they help him overthrow the current leader of the Knights so that he can reign. He is also going to use the Knighthood, the PC's, and the Qualinesti elves to destroy Sable using Dragon/Abbysal Lances - because she is too powerful.

My campaign is rather an in-depth one, but my PC's love it almost as much as they love reading the books. I think that we are responsible for making the world now as epic and great as the Story Writers and Game Designers are.

But, this is just what I think.

Info on the Oath and the Measure for the KoS, and the Code & whatever (it escapes me atm) for the KoN and how each should be applied to characters of the knighthoods.

And that the names for each be used correctly! No calling the Oath the Code for the KoS.
