I'm a bad spelling so bare with, in the book "the Citadel" there were Goargoules that were not like the MM ones, these guys didn't turn to stone, they were a race, flesh and blood, Now my question is will they be in the Dragonlance MM or not cuz I want to know before I write them up and stuff as a race.

Thanks Pat

The MM gargoyles don't turn into stone either, they are made of flesh and blood as well (albeit stone-like flesh).

As far as I know, D&D gargoyles have never been made of stone. It's a common misconception that they are b/c they're usually found on the roof of a building or on pillars, etc. They just look like stone.

If you're looking for a "true" gargoyle, the 2E Ravenloft monstrous compendium had a Gargoyle Golem. It's probably been updated in a 3E Ravenloft book...

As the other folks here have said, the gargoyles described in The Citadel (which is my favorite book by Richard Knaak, by the way) are the same as those in the 3.5 D&D Monster Manual, although Stone and his clan are probably not evil in alignment. Gargoyles were mentioned in the section of the Dragonlance DM's Screen booklet that covers the MM monsters and how they fit into the world of Krynn.

Cheers,
