Hello all,

From my reading and discussions with a longtime passionate friend who plays dark sun, i have one question. Everyone seems to know a lot about Avangions and Dragons, but what about Spirits of the Land. If defiling wizards can become Dragons, and preservers can become Avangions, then what are the statistical information of Spirits of the Land. I am currently playing Dark Sun and have a 14th level druid. I know in one book there is one paragraph just mentioning them. So i come to you (the message boards) for help on creating a Spirit of the Land Template/Class.

Please post any sites or answers to my problem.
Thank you,
Nemaru

I'm planning on releasing information about Spirits of the Land on my site, when I get the chance. I have a whole moving-across-the-country thing to worry about currently.

Spirits of the Land were statted out to 3e in the Monster Manual 2, based on the entry in the old 2e Dark Sun Monstrous Compendium. More info on Spirits of the Land was also found in the DS supplement Earth, Air, Fire & Water - that was where the 2e transformational rules were found. Xlorep's rules for dragons and avangions were pretty damn cool, so it's probably worth the wait to see what he does with these folks

I feel the MM2 spirits of the land shouldn't have been Fey; instead, Elemental (Native) would've worked a hell of a lot better.

--Athas only had one Fey race, thank you very much NB

Well, I also didn't feel that the MM2 Spirit of the Land writeup was powerful enough to be an "epic" creature, something that Druid/Psions would aspire to become. However, I haven't looked all that strongly into it yet.

Oh, and thanks for the vote of confidence there Kamelion

Yeah, especially with those elemental manifestation things that they have. Oh well .

Most welcome - there's a lot of thought and work gone into your rules.
