Ok if someone is a planar they have an ability or skill to spot portals. If you are a prime you cannot be banished like a planar can. Now my question is that I believe if you are born in Sigil you would be a planar but one can't be banished into Sigil if I am not mistaken? What do you guys think about this and is there maybe another drawback to being born in the Cage?

If you are a planar, you can be banished to your homeplane. Sigil is not a plane, it is only a feature (I agree, perhaps the greatest) of the Outlands. Thus, a Sigil native away from homecan be banished and end up anywhere in the Outlands, except Sigil, due to the very nature of the city.

A native Sigilite would probably be banished into the Outlands, near the Spire.

However, remember that those who jump off Sigil's edge may end up in a completely random plane.

And we don't know for absolute sure that the ring above the Spire is Sigil.

So it might be fair for a Cager banished to his or her home plane to end up in a random one instead. This is appropriate, given the multiplanar nature of the City of Doors.

We do know that magical weapons forged in Sigil function as native to the outlands for purposes of reduced plusses, though.

Another though is that a Sigilian hit with banishment gets tossed into a maze. Not his or her own maze, though, one that already exists as a spin-off of Sigil floating through the ethereal.

On a related note, are there things in mazes that prevent divination from working as a general rule? If not, it would be tricky to imprison anyone who knows "Find the Path," don't you think?

Your have to find the exit on your own as far as I know. Either the spells fail on you, or they give no answers. All of the easy loopholes of exit from a maze are handled nicely.

This may not apply to other people who enter that maze after you yourself get mazed. Ie. Jehk N'larr the Githyanki Hrakk'nr (sp?!) gets sods mazed on purpose, then tracks them down in their maze through the ethereal by following a psychic trail they leave behind them. She can enter in, map the maze and backtrace the trail they left seemingly to the exit. She herself may be destined to the mazes though if she keeps plumbing the depths of The Lady's secrets...
