Daskinor Druid Slayer Campaign Idea

Ok I have a 2 part idea going oh here.

Part 1:
What do you guys think of the Jihad against the Druids being Daskinors idea? I think it would fall in nicely if the last sane moments of actual communication he really had with the other sorceror monacrchs was the organisation of the Jihad. I can just imagine near the end of the Jihad whenever he would contact the other sorceror monacrhs about their progress he would leave them with thoughts along the lines of " Oh man Daskinor is really starting to lose it, I hope he dosent call back anytime soon".

Part 2:

I like this idea so much that I am tempted to start a campaign.
The pc's would be templars/defilers/soldiers of Drakinor who would be agents of his at the very end of the jihad.
The vast majority of the campaign's action would be chasing the druids across athas in the name of Draskinor, while running across ruins full of ancient knowledge every once and awhile.

Basically what I am thinking to do is reward one of my ever so patient players who never thought he would ever have a chance to play an advanded being. I would like to present to him over the course of the campaign the tools and knowledge to pull off a coup against daskinor and replace him as soceror king(either as an elemntal lord, dragon, or avangion) of Eldaarich. I would set it up so that the PC would get his chance just shortly after Draskinor goes totally insane and forms an army to fight the dragon with. The beauty of all of this is that absolutly none of this would change any of the major events that happen between the 1st and 2nd darksun boxes.

Now all of my players are pretty well read on darksun material and I was wondering if you guys could look at my 2 ideas above and point out any major flaws. I don't want to have to deal with any " well it could't have be Daskinors idea because of X" or "on page 29 of the uber secret polyhedran(sp?) issue X it said that it was the space halfling super giant hamster running wheels that started the war jihad" etc

Thanks in advance:D

...the idea fits like a glove. Daskinor is a rather lovely example of a deeply paranoid schizophrenic man who desperately needs heavy doses of modern anti-psychotics. It would fit like a glove; as Daskinor falls ever deeper into madness, he becomes convinced that the Druidic Order, with its' "land magic", stands ready to topple him. Hell, he might even believe the druids serve Rajaat!

--as for toppling Daskinor with a PC replacing him, I dunno NB

Well I figured if you where gonna be nice and allow one of your pc's to finally topple and replace a sorceror king that Daskinor would be the optimal choice since he dosent really seem to do anything in the darksun stories after he closes off his city.

Plus with him being all isolated and crazy it gives me a good reason as too why the other sorceror kings don't immediatly jump all over the pc. If the pc plays it right it just might take the other sorceror kings a while to figure out that something is wrong.
