Questions During the Lost wars the WoHS destroyed 2 Towers. One was near the city of Kendermore. Wasn't the other near Daltigoth in Southern Ergoth? If anybody can give me some insight on this I would greatly appreciate it.

In late June you'll find out all about the Towers, including the destroyed ones, in TOWERS OF HIGH SORCERY from Sovereign Press.

I am really anxious for this book as in the campaign that I plan to run around july, dalamar has taken on an immense task. To restore one of the lost towers. We have three that were destroyed either by the WoHS (daltigoth & the ruins) or by the cataclysm (istar).

Would it be possible to raise a small island in the middle of the Blood Sea (now that it has calmed down) and rebuilt the tower of istar there.

What about the ruins. It is located close to Malys's lair so it would be isolated and in the very highest reaches of the mountains.

And what about Daltigoth. It is now controlled by the ogres. What would they have to say about it.

Any one of these tasks is bound to take a great deal of effort.

I also plan on having Sorcerors and Wizards working alongside each other. For an explaination on that situation see my post in the thread "Warr of Sorcerors and Wizards..stupid."

Well the reason I asked. Is I plan to run an adventure around the ruins near Daltigoth. The tower wasn't technicaly destroyed. It just looked destroyed. From the outside. I was going to have most of the tower sink below the ground, with what looks like ruins above it. The WoHS had 3 wizards always watching the ruins much like they had 3 wizards guarding that bastion in Defenders of magic I think it was. When Chaos Wars came, and gone the 3 wizards lost their magic, and left the ruins. Then the War of Souls happen, and the Gods returned which set of some of the old magic still in the ruins. Now weird creatures have been harassing the ogres of Daltigoth. As well as some other creatures that found their way into the ruins.

I was going to have the Ogre's hiring the PC's to investigate the ruins, and discover the tower.

Something I could not understand is that if Dalamar was strong enough to move the tower of Palanthus to Dargaard to avoid it being detected, it seems reasonable that the Wizards of Old could have done the same with the other towers, namely GoodLUnd and Daltigoth and even Ishtar's.

Of course, from what I have gathered, the uprising against the Wizards happened so suddenly perhaps they had little time to do so.

The way I see why Dalamar could tyhis is because during the time right after the Chaos war the world was so suffused with magic that when Dalamar discovered how to use it, he effectiveley had a limitless amount of magic available that was not available previous to this era.

For more detail on how I see magic during this time check out my post on the thread war of sorcerors and wizards...stupid. (Basically i see Takky using a blockade sorta like a dam, to stokpile magic that she will use later to try and enter the world, and mystics and sorcerors were tapping into this resource to achieve the miraculous magic they were capable during this time. THe reason their magic was seperated into spheres is because Takky helped teach sorceror and therefore led sorcerors to believe they could only use a certain amount of spheres. Mystic spheres were limited because they had not learned to access their full potential in magic, shortly after the gods return they do however reach their potential but unfortunately the level of available magic has gone down. So while they can use more spheres (schools) and are no longer restricted on what type of spells they can use they can no longer achieve the effects they were once capable of.)

It could just be as simple as sometime in the last four centuries...the Wizards realized their mistake in destroying the towers...they have since learned how to move them and hide them...incase it happened again.

Or it could be that they knew their towers weren't safe no matter where they hid them. They knew the people would come after them...and they also knew that the Kingpriests men learned how to bypass the magical groves.
