I didn't want this to get lost in the other threads, but I really, really enjoyed the Dark Sun art in the Paizo DS issues. I mean, in the DS PH issue, the "front piece" artwork shows the Thri-kreen with a thorax and all four arms at proper length. The Half-Giant really looks like the size he is supposed to be, not a medium sized mini-me. While the dwarf does have braids, the elf appears to be of proper height. So kudos!

And even there, I have to say that the art really helps evoke the setting's feel. The James Ryman cover of Dungeon #110 has that Brom feel that so defined Dark Sun. Just like the art of Merchant House argosies just looked cooler that the floorplans ever showed, the art on pgs. 32-33 just kick butt. One eight-legged "thing" looks like a watroach on steroids.

The ONLY artpiece I'm unsure about is the work on Dungeon #110's p.32. That Kreen just seems terribly wrong-sized.

But, regardless, so much awesome new DS art!

Erik Mona, give your artist stable you used for DS a great huge pat on the back!

I must agree. I liked about 95% of the art and feel that it alone was worth the price of the two issues of dragon and dungeon:D

I also like the fact that they go back to the original Dark Sun logo!:inlove:
