Yeah, mine too.

I hated Greyhawk, I hated Forgotten Realms. Darksun I kinda liked because it was so different and harsh and brutal. . . Planescape I fell in love with the minute I flipped through the Players, DMs, and Setting booklets. . . The art was fantastic, the descriptions were fantastic, the Rule of 3, the lingo, everything about it just screamed out that it was a great setting.

Then 3.0 comes along, and they ditch it. But not completely.. They filter out bits and pieces of it here and there. Incorporating it's basic ideas, so they say, but not really.

Yeah, there's planewalker.com, but. . . Never make up for the heartbreak of Planescape being ditched in the switch from AD&D to 3.0.

No, it won't be coming out in any official capacity. However, there are things to look forward to:

Planescape occasionally makes an appearance in Dragon Magazine.

Planewalker.com is the official fan-site for PS, and it has organized a project to re-release Planescape as a 3rd edition setting. It won't be officially sponsored by Wizards, but since planewalker has the official nod of approval by Wizards as the fan-site, it's as official as anything will be.

Not quite on the topic, but the City of Doors Initiative is a fan-based team working to create Planescape in Neverwinter Nights, so if you're into that game, you should seriously check out what they've done. They already have new PC races, a whole lot of new monsters, and they're about to release an awesome module. And it's all huge quality.

I'll agree, CODI has done some awesome work. Now if only PW could poach some of their artists to get some art for each chapter we release, that'd be sweet. ;)

I'm not proud enough to not beg, just out of range of any mimirs.
