Apr 17, 2004 14:06:46 I saw and item on auction in ebay called DARK SUN CONSPECTUS. Its not a product I'm familiar with so if someone could enlighten me I'd greatly appreciate it:D

Apr 17, 2004 14:12:30 It's a leaflet/magazine insert thing that was circulated around the time of the DS2 release. It has some fluff, some pics, some adverts and a small reproduction of the DS2 map. Kinda neat but not really worth shelling out real cash over... unless you're some kind of wierdo collector or something. Don't know any of those. Nope, not me.

(Edit: Still, it's only a quid, soooo....)

Not even :sad:. Especially not for the 20 bucks that it often times sells for. A few pages of DS intro material that is basically the first few pages of the DS revised books paraphrased. The map is the same as the revised one, only shrunk down. Basically, its an advertisement. A good advertisement, but its rather like shelling out cash to collect all the DS adds from the mags. There was a similar one for Planescape (and I think Birthright, but I missed that one). Its not even decent enough to recopy as a 'new to DS' aid for players.

There's quite a few people I know (online, since I'm able to show the people I know how lame it is) who went nuts over it, paying as much as 30 bucks for it (20 average it seems). Every single one of them that I know has said it was a sham and they fell for it.

Apr 18, 2004 10:09:40 I wouldn't mind having that since I must have everything that was published and unpublished for DS, but I'm not paying $20 for it, nor $30 for that matter, heh.

(Got mine as a freebie when I worked in a bookstore - I wanted to use it as a handout for new games, except it has irritating things like the Pristine Tower on it and stuff...)

Just kidding. Be mean and hike up the price. Just be careful you don't get stick with it for an outrageous price.
