A Troller at ENWorld starts off saying he doesn't play in Greyhawk (or Forgotten Realms), but then he quotes several Greyhawk sourcebooks like a veteran.

He is comparing Mordenkainen and Elminster. Whatever. It's good comic relief.

Check out the thread HERE. Give it a few moments to load. ENWorld is dreadfully slow.

yeash!

what i can't get over is how FR is so much more high fantasy than GH. What is the definition of high magic? An evil demi-god ruling next to an ancient elven forest? several lost realms destroyed by epic style magics? Notable archmage wizards in abundance? Universally known artifacts? Uber-liches? Drow? Where does standard fantasy end and high fantasy start?

I think that your average FR munchkin wouldn't know high fantasy if it bit them on their magic card tattooed butt.

I've heard this term used a few times.. but I'm not sure what it means... so what is trolling?

Generally, it means acting as a troll (aka "behaving in a rude manner")

I'd add that trolling as used on Internet forums means that a person is intentionaly inviting argument; trolling as in the way fishermen troll - slowly dragging bait through the water to see what will bite. Sometimes, on the forums, a person wants to see who will "bite," or jump into the particluar argument at hand.

It always involves a ridiculous question that is certain to get people fighting with each other. Usually, the question does not merit discussion.

Funny, with all that talk about ol' Mordy, guess who just showed up in the flesh (so to speak)? :D

Yes, and what an interesting gesture. What exactly are they trying to say about him (or his creator), anyway?
