War Mind PrC on Athas?

May 27, 2004 12:59:03 Just curious guys. One of my DS players wants to adopt the War Mind PrC from the Xph. Off hand I don't see anything in the PrC that wouldn't fit on Athas. I maybe missing something.

I'm on the fence on allowing it and don't want regret it later. Any input would be helpful.

May 27, 2004 13:26:03 I was actually looking that one over, too (mainly because I was going to make an NPC War Mind). So far, I haven't seen any glaring contradictions, but that might change after the PCs meet him and see what happens.

May 27, 2004 13:26:43 I've already considered using it for Hamanu, and I don't see any reason it couldn't be in the Athasian world. Your right, it fits.

The one thing that does not fit, and that applies to any campaign, is its name.
I wonder why they gave a PrC that concentrates on personal combat the name WAR Mind? Battle Mind or Combat Mind would fit better in my opinion.

possibly so that it doesn't conflict with some feat, spell or power that has the same name. I dunno otherwise. But, it works for me, even if it has been misnamed.
