Jun 06, 2004 19:58:13 The book that every wizard on Ansalon has been waiting for (along with their DMs) is due out this month.

YAY.

This begs the question "When this month?" Most likely towards the end, as that's the general way of things in the RPG industry.

The second question would be "So when do we get our nifty Web Enhancements?".

My final question to you, the readers, players, DMs, and writers of the Dragonlance setting... "What happens if it gets pushed back again?"

1st Edition doesn't refer to the rule set. It'd D&D 3.5. What it is referring to is books with multiple printings/editions.

As for being out... Amazon is lying and so is DL.com. The June date is the last official one we have on record from Sovereign Press, but since I don't have anything more up-to-date in terms of an "actual" release date, it's listed as such.

Maybe I'll just move that back later in the year and update it when I get an update release schedule...

Grr. Web Enchancements annoy me. If they're any use, they should have been in the book in the first place. If they're not, then what's the point?

Maybe I'm just bitter because Adobe Acrobat never works very well on my computer. Or on the campus ones. In fact, Adobe Acrobat is fairly rubbish. Bring back .txt files!

MacOSX works just fine for me, thankyouverymuch. Some of your favorite Dragonlance products were created thanks to the contributions of Apple's little share of the personal computer market.

All things being fair, Macs would own... but there is that little sticking point of everything getting released SO much later... and that they don't make a notebook with all the crap I need on it for less than $2k.

So basically, I just don't like Macs. YMMV.

Jun 08, 2004 8:21:48 Sovereign Press is a publishing house that works almost exclusively on Macs! If you have a Sovereign Stone or Dragonlance game product, it was created on a Macintosh computer. In addition, all of Margaret's novels are written on a Mac.

I agree that being a computer-game player and Mac user can be a frustrating experience, which is why I still own a Windows machine even though I prefer the Mac platform. Oh well!

As to Towers, please remember as always that until we receive a firm ship-date from the printer, there is no official release date, just an approximation. Thanks!

This is why I own a Playstation 2. And I don't even have the time to play on that as often as I'd like, so having games on my Mac would be a real waste of money.

Acrobat is also one of the slowest programs to load on every computer I've ever attempted to use it on.

Probably not(Due to a wife, college, work, etc.). Just a bit more loose cash when I hit the gaming store. Then again if you have kids I probably do have more time than you and peace of mind. :D

Why own an XBox when you likely have a computer already?

Note: the reason I don't own an XBox is that the # of games for it that I feel are worth playing are very limited, and almost all of them are also available on other consoles or PC.

If you don't believe ask TRRW. As for too much free time, sure I guess i do, i just have a good job, decent pay strange hours, and i hardly work. Great for having time to come up with adventures and such.

Trying to write a fantasy novel too, hoping to rival DL somtime, but i doubt that will ever happen. Anyways I dislike Macs too, bad experiance with them in HS crappy computers from the early 80s *shivers*

Of course I would like to play more games but I am also super busy with work and running errands for school.

Suppose I better stay on topic. I'm looking foward to this book. I can always use more wizard stuff.

I've been playing a few again lately.

Instead of digging out my PS1, or using my PS2, I've been using an emulator on my PC called ePSXe. Once you get the plugin situation down, etc, it usually runs rather well; you need a high end machine though.
