Very soon I will be running a solo campaign for someone who's never played dnd, but is eating up every bit of info I show her... For her first character, I thought it would be cool to make herself and eventually develop into a spellcaster (which is what she's most interested in). I plan on taking her into the planes, but wanted to run a few sessions on earth before she takes off...

Anyone have an ideas for a good adventure featuring some planars beings of one kind or another that takes place on earth, 2004 years AD?

In the Urban Arcana campaign setting book (A d20 Modern setting in case you didn't know) they have an introduction adventure that contains a few references to PlaneScape (Can't think of them all, but the Planar Trade Organization is mentioned alot). The adventure centers around a few fiends who are attempting to take over the PTO.

Estavan the Ogre Mage is in Urban Arcana, as the Planar Trade Consortium delegate on Earth, and apparently the only one who knows how to get to Earth without passing through shadow- I assume he knows of a portal from Sigil to Earth that he isn't letting anyone else know about. Even the fiends on earth can't go back to where they came- Shadow did a number on their memories. An adventure could be centered around finding the proper key for the portal inside Estavan's estate- maybe being duped into doing it by another powerful entity bent on returning to the Outside (the planes as D&D knows them that is)

Or maybe you could have her character thrown the other way (with approperiate memory loss) after a clash with a particularly powerful enemy, maybe an unusually powerful cleric or mage who ruptures reality with a botched incantation, sending themselves and the PC through the rift.

One other idea would be illithids in spelljammers coming to earth and making a subtle, understated invasion, kidnapping people as food and subverting governments. This could end in the repulsion of the invaders and capturing a spelljammer and passing through wildspace... or maybe the invasion being turned back, but them capturing a small number of humans, the player among them...

On all this, I'm assuming that you have d20 modern and Urban Arcana.
