I now this kind of information is going to be in an upcoming book but I need it now :D so to my questios:

I have always have problems dealing with religions in D&D, I dont know how to handle so many ( I choose FR as my first world imagine my problems ) I have never been able to choose what temples are in a city, Dragonlance has fewer gods (thaks) but they have the problem of haveing just returned to the world, so, how to deal with that as a DM? what do you fellow DMs do? Do you place temples with clerigy in the towns, or abandoned temples? and the biggest question of all, are the religions organized in DL?

Il write more questions as they present

thx

i think all deities should have temples in cities...expet for some evil ones which are worshipped in secret places...well i guess its temple as well.
good city has all the temples, because all the gods should be respected...but small cities should only have the temples that they are more senstive to them...for example cities of many warriors and wars should have a temple for kiri jolith...elves should ahave temple for paladine (well..not anymore i guess)

The magic gods shouldnt have temples at all...and so do chaos and the high god...

During the early Age of Mortals many temples devoted to the vanished gods were put to use in a more practical way. As an example can be mentioned one of the temples in Sanction. Mystics moved in and made it their place. Since many people lost their faith in the old gods I can imagine this has happened to a lot of temples in many cities across Ansalon.

The fact that the gods have returned doesn´t necessarily mean that they instantly command the faith of their subjects. A large of Ansalon´s population feel betrayed by them...and it takes time to reestablish that trust.

In my post WoS campaigns there are very few established temples. In most major cities temples are in the process of being built or reestablished as holy places. An exception is the Solamnic Knights who maintained their churches and castle chapels and remained relatively firm in their faith...

As for good and evil temples...well in my opinion Dragonlance is rather similar to FR (BLASPHEMY!!!!) in that temples devoted to good deities are welcomed in good and neutrally aligned cities (and not in evil aligned cities) and vice versa...

During the course of my babbling I´m assuming that the campaign is set in AoM...

I imagine that post-Age of Mortals, the gods will retake any of their previous temples that are still around.

Remember, its only been forty years, so unless Ansalon has a fetish for redevelopment, most will still be standing.

As for the mix: I imagine most good-aligned nations will have a mix of good and neutral deities. Evil nations have nearly only evil deities.

The more cosmopoliton neutral cities might have representives from all alignments.

Hiddukel is one evil deity I would imagine may actually be one who could have a temple in a city without disrupting the piece too much. (At least on the surface). Zeboim as well.

Takhisis, Sargonnas, Chemosh and Morgion - no.

Hurim, one of the locations in the Key of Destiny, was once the destination of many pilgrims in the Age of Might, and included shrines to all of the gods (though some more than others, of course).

Lots of bad happened. People were killed, buildings were razed. As this thread doesn't have the (Spoilers) tag, nothing more specific can really be said.

[edit]
\/\/\/ - I realize it wasn't supposed to be a KoD thread, but that's all the more reason to not talk about specifics. Respect for the players and future players of the module to not have things spoiled for them.
