#1baron_the_curseJun 12, 2004 11:20:23 | I was curious as to who did the Vegan Warrior class. For a vegetarian the class is too powerful, maybe you should go with a d6 or d8 hit dice. After all without protein in your diet is difficult to built muscles. I always figure that's why most elves are so lithe. And do vegetarians really need their own class? Shouldn't this just be a lifestyle? I mean even druids eat meat is all part of the natural cycle of life. |
#2talinthasJun 12, 2004 15:08:29 | lentils, my friend. one of the best sources of protien out there. |
#3DragonhelmJun 12, 2004 19:16:45 | Ah, the Vegan Warrior. That was something fun that Rooks came up with. I miss Rooks. He doesn't come around these parts much any more. |
#4baron_the_curseJun 12, 2004 21:10:34 | Actually, is it just me or does it seem that few people come around this board these days? Where are the regulars at? |
#5zombiegleemaxJun 15, 2004 4:33:44 | it does seem that there is less in the way of regulars. i often come in, but lately i haven't found a post that i feel i want to reply to. as a side affect though i have noticed that there is less in the way of threads as for this vegan warrior, i didn't see it at all. but i think there would be more threads when the new book comes out, the one all about clerics and them. (the name has jumped right out of my head and scuttled accross the 'puter desk straight out the door.... oh well it'll come back i hope) |
#6DragonhelmJun 15, 2004 7:13:52 | The regulars sure have changed over the years. There are a few constant faces, like Cam, Brimstone, Talinthas, Craig, and I. I don't see some old friends who used to frequent these boards, such as Rath, Rooks, and B'naa. I miss those guys. That's the nature of things, though. People come and go. The one constant, though, is Dragonlance and the fans who love it. |
#7brimstoneJun 15, 2004 9:58:54 | Well, I know for one, Rath left because they shut down the novel boards. Not that he was boycotting the boards or anything, but that's just what he was more interested in with Dragonlance, and they took it away. I'd be willing to bet that the loss of the novel boards is part of the reason why so many folks who used to be around aren't anymore. The novels are such an important part of Dragonlance...when you take that away...well...we've all seen the results. |
#8DragonhelmJun 15, 2004 10:52:20 | Yeah, I'd have to agree, Brim. I don't like it either, but it's their boards. *sigh* Comparing the DL boards I visit, it seems the DL.com boards are some of the busiest right now, followed by these. The DL-L mailing list is nearly dead, and I don't go to the AFDL due to the flames that list traditionally has. I even did a poll on DL.com to see what forums were the favorites of fans. Here's the results: Dragonlance.com Forum Poll Note that the results may be a bit off due to the poll being conducted on Dragonlance.com. Still, I think the results are a bit telling. |
#9rath_the_rangerJun 15, 2004 15:27:19 | Ahh, the novel boards, the good old days. Course, even that board was holding little interest at the end of its days. I do miss it, but seem to have less time these days to frequent any boards. Actually, the only reason I popped in here today was because Brim said you guys were talking about us old dinos who went off to the Dragon Isles to die. HAHAHA |
#10lugnut71Jun 16, 2004 9:27:03 | You also have to remember that summer is hitting and I think these boards are filled with older people who now have less time for messages. I mean there is golf, tennis, summer jobs etc. |
#11baron_the_curseJun 16, 2004 13:27:24 | Summer jobs?? How do I get me one of those, because I seem to have a "All Year Long Never Ending Constant Job". |

#18zombiegleemaxJun 24, 2004 0:19:41 | I still frequent the boards, but now that I've discovered the world of online gaming groups, I spend less time here, mostlyt just looking at the threads that look interesting. I know no one here would really consider me a dino, but I've been a DL freak for the past 9 or so years, so I consider myself at least on my way. PS: Read my DL and Complete Warrio thread, or Paladine will smite you! |
