I'm starting a dark sun game, and planning on using the rules from over at athas.org (great job!), but is there a beta version somewhere with changes to incorporate the new 3.5 expanded psionics? Especially the removal of 0th level talents in relation to say, the wild talent and talented feats. How are other people handling the new psionics book? One of my characters wants to be a wylder, and I'm trying to decide if it fits well with the dark sun world.

As a side note, is there somewhere a list of prestige classes that fit well with the dark sun world? Or some homebrew ones?

Yes.

Ho, you want more?
Well then, athas.org will release a XPH-ready version of its 3.5 ruleset. Send a email to the team (emails found on the athas.org site) to find out the timetable on this.

Probably that wild talents will be dealt with as the XPH does: A) Wild Talent feat gives PP, allows the taking of psionic feats, or B) Hidden Talent feat, to be taken at 1st-level

I don't recall major objections to the wilder core class, in fact, I recall people leaping to the occasion to cook-up the fluff around them. The problem is more with the soulknife; its actually the same problem as the monk, iiuc.

As for PrCs, make a search for "prestige" and "prc" on this Board and you'll find many fan-created lists of PrCs appropriate, for various reasons, to a DS campaign. Check out Jon's site, Athas Online, for DS-specific PrCs, many of them conversions of 2E kits. A couple of those are already official, part of City-State of Draj. The others will probably soon follow.

It's in the works. Can't give you a release date, though.
