I don't know if this have been discused before...

The requirements for enter the Wizard of High Sorcery prestige class include the specialization in one of the schools favored by the order in which you want to enter (or be a generalist wizard if you use the optional rule in Age of Mortals), but can a specialized wizard on Conjuration or Evocation become a Wizard of High Sorcery?

In other words, if I am an Evoker, can I enter the Wizard of High Sorcery prestige class and be a White, Red, or Black Robe?

Any official answer would be great.

Cheers!

You can be a non-specialised wizard and gain the WoHs class. It just means you don't get the enhanced specialisation ability.

Yes, I know. But what I really want to know is if a wizard can be a specialist of the Conjuration or Evocation schools and be able to gain the WoHS prestige class. (Like a White Robe conjurer or evoker, instead of abjurer or diviner.)

I would allow it, but just as with a non-specialized wizard the conjurer or evoker would gain no additional specialization benefit from the prestige class. These characters are the kind of wizard who also ends up taking levels in the war mage PrC, from the Age of Mortals sourcebook, or (in the case of elven evokers) the arcane archer PrC.

Cam

I know that the AOM said that they no longer had to be specialist mages and that they could be generalists. I dont see any reason why you couldnt have a Black Robe Evoker, but for other schools I wouldnt say so, if they were part of the spheres of the other two orders.
