#1sabbattackJul 05, 2004 7:39:20 | Hello Everyone!!! Sorry for being away for so long (did anyone actually notice :D ) but I had my semester exams. Oh, by the way... WE ARE THE CHAMPIONS, MY FRIENDS......... ![]() ...Ahem, anyway, I really need a quick and great favor. Anyone who can help will be greatly appreciated. Long time ago (some months or so) in a thread someone suggested the hypnosis effect as a campaign starter for Rloft. This is my variation of the subject: A scientist gathers a party of commoners from a nearby village to help him in an experiment promising them some money. He hypnotizes them into believing they are great heroes battling armies of evil etc, in order to study their subconcious or something. Anyway, when they awake they have some sort of memory lapse or personality conflict due to some mistake he did so they go around trying to become what they think they once were (they never were, but that's the point). So, here's my problem: I asked my party to create some medium to high level characters (9-11) letting them believe that they will start a campaign (in Oerth probably) at that level. Of course after the first session they'll be gone, but they don't know that yet... ![]() So if anyone has anything handy like an already played combat scenario or some points in how to organise the enemy army etc, PLEASE, PLEASE reply to this post. I've been waiting for this Rloft campaign to start for years now, I've planned it all but the kickstart got me unprepared. They informed me some days ago that we'll play at Wednesday this week. I wanted to (stereotypically ![]() Sorry for the length, please either reply here or mail me with attached files or anything. ANYTHING!! I deeply appreciate any help given to me, considering the little amount of time left. Cheers!! ![]() |

One small concern that popped into my head... if the players know they're going into a battle where they're outnumbered, might they not try to short-circuit your setup? Maybe they'll try to sneak in and assassinate the opposing generals rather than lead their troops into a meat grinder. (I don't know your group, so maybe they won't be devious... but my players sure would be!) |
