I've heard refered to here and on the MoP message board about faux Sigils created by the illithids and the baatezu. Where can I find these in the literature?

Not sure about the illithid, but the Baatezu have been working up a replica of the Cage. You can find that bit of info somewhere in the Planescape campaign set, or maybe the Hellbound box set.

I suggest diggin around the Sigil and Beyond book specifically. If I find it I'l tell ya where exactly myself.

Not the Illithids as far as I know, but Dispater was attempting to create a replica of Sigil on the 2nd layer of Baator complete down to building details on each block of the city. Apparently he thinks that the replica might give him insight into the city, or his troops some ability to train for a seige of the city should they ever be presented with the opportunity.

Dispater also had a replica Lady of Pain which as I recall was a mortal human woman kept alive by magic but with blades grafted onto and through her flesh.

Hmm...

Could this be the true origin of the Lady of Pain? A case of history creating itself?

Things to make you go "hmm..."

As for the illithids, you might be thinking of Ilkkool Rrem, from the Epic Level handbook and Speaker In Dreams.

But it's really, really different from Sigil.

Thanks for the help, but forget about it. I don't have a campaign anymore. My PC attacked an NPC who they didn't feel was being cooperative enough and all wound up dead. They got mad and said they don't want me DMing anymore.

But thanks again.
