Is there an adventure that takes place during the Chaos war or Summer there of? I think Dragons of Summer Flame was one of (if not) my favorite Dragon Lance book that I have read. Not to mention i think it would be a kick ass advetureing time. So just wondering if there is anything in the works for this yet. Thanks,

There were two 2nd edition adventures that took place in the Summer of Chaos, but AFAIK there are no plans for any adventures to be set during that time. Of course, some of the monsters introduced in the old 2nd edition adventures have made it into the Bestiary of Krynn ... the Wretches and the Daemonlord, for example.

Seeds of Chaos and Chaos Spawn were both Chaos War era modules prior to the cancellation of the SAGA Fifth Age rules, which also featured AD&D statistics for the encounters included within. They have pregenerated knights, dragons, several new monsters (of which most ended up in the Bestiary of Krynn) and would work very well for a Chaos War campaign.

Alternately, you could just go with what iltharanos said, above.

Cursed slow typing.

I'm thinking a no, especially with the current crop of adventures focusing on the post-WoS AoM.

Well then that equals the suck. I mean WoS Aom is all good, but i love WotL and SoC *sigh* guess I'll have to talk to people about this over sight at Gen Con. I say bring on Chaos and bring on the pain!

Don't take my word for it, I'm just an out-of-the-loop boob. ;) Now If Jamie Chambers comes out and says the same thing, then we will all despair (for I like the Chaos War period as well).

Now there is where I would like to see another epic styled campaign sourcebook, like the one rumoured for the legends era. Now the Chaos War is truly a place for epic characters.....but even as I type this...I see that it could just as easily be about any level characters, as the whole of the continent was united in battling chaos.

Talked to Jamie C says they can only put out 2 adventures per yr Stupid WotC, and right now they are concentrating on other eras, but hopefully next year.

Sov. Press has been dealing with the Age of Mortals era and have now gone back to the War of the Lance era. I think the Chaos War is on Da List, but there's just so much to cover that it isn't getting the immediate treatment.

Never despair, though.

And if you want an alternate take on the Chaos War, check out War of the Dark Lance on the Nexus!

There is way more than enough info and cool tidbits for your DM, to build an adventure. Personally, I think that my parties own custom adventures were waaay better than any store-bought ones... with a few exceptions of course, though I did really like some of the old-school original dl adventures... Every time we play the DM has to run through and change some things anyways, so why not a whole adventure... The best we ever played was our version of Tracy Hickman's "The Lyceum" dragonlance adventure- certain players had some fun with the disks of one....

Well...I know people are interested in Chaos War adventures...and I am interested in post Blue Lady's War adventures, and I'm sure there are people who would rather have early Age of Mortals adventures.

So I'm thinking, "What should be next?" Well...early Age of Mortals has been done before with about 10 modules. Chaos War got 2 modules, post-War of Souls will have 3 modules, War of the Lance has 14 modules, post-Blue Lady's War has several extremely poorly done non-canon following modules, and a few really good modules too, pre-War of the Lance has none, Age of Starbirth has none, Age of Dreams has none, Age of Might has none.

So...looking at it in that aspect...what do you think the next adventure series should be set?

Maybe if those of us who are interested in something like this would write to Sov. Press and ask them to do so that would help?
