Pain of Salvation owns your mom!

Anyways, once I get a freaking desk, and get my comp area better set up, I will be more active. Right now I can only be on for 8 hours during the day while at work, and that doesn't always leave me with a lot of free time.

I didnt make it to wally world untill later that night, I got a dijorno and some gram crackers. I just went to the local gaming store to make my presince known, I havent been in like 3 weeks, they all thought I left for basic training already. Then I had to give a kid a ride to his house, Then I watched hellboy (its ok) Then I went to bed at 5am, and woke up at 5:30 pm... That is what I did with my one day off this week. I have got to find a chick

I have got to find a chick

It strikes me that could be difficult as long as you keep up your current lifestyle. Unless there's a cute chick working at your gaming store, at Walmart, or the kid has an older sister, you're down on your luck. Trying to pick up strangers on the street is not advised... No - I haven't tried it myself. ;)

Whi;le this is true, it's kinda cool when you do find a chick who does play Roleplaying games. Just don't expect many supermodels to be playing RPG's.

My boss freaked me out this morning. I had my shadowrun book,(the first half) opened on the counter, he was like "Is that like dungeons and dragons" This dude shouldnt have been that quick with it. He hunts, coaches baseball, and drives a truck. He is captain america. Whats the world coming to.

I was a starting lineman on a state-champ football team, was the son of a general, was on yearbook, and graduated with an art and psychology degree. I still go and play basketball about 3-4 times a week. I wake up at 4:00 in the morning to go to the gym before work. I've also been playing RPGs since I was 4.

Don't judge a book by its cover - tell the dude about Dark Sun and tell him to play (or Shadowrun, another of my favorites) or there will be beatings. BEATINGS, I SAY!

Ok, been reading up on the Vin Diesel plays D&D for a few weeks now.

The Robin Williams one caught me by surprise though, interesting.

Makes me like him even more now, and I guess you can add another geek actor to the list.

On one hand your right, we might not beleive you. On the other, I ment what I said, I think the lowest I.Q. of a role player is about 124 scored by my bud herb. I got a 133ish, (internet test) But it made me feel good to know that Im a bumb not cause Im stupid, but because Im wasting my talents.

I knew about Vin Diesel and Robin Williams. I think there are some directors who play rpgs as well (no wonder). Hmm... There could be a secret society for celebrity gamers. I suggest sending Mach to investigate.

As for joining Mensa, that's one certain way of gaining a geek image and becoming the subject of more stereotypes than you can shake a stick at. I'd rather not. Though it doesn't cost much to take the application test and its nice knowing whether you pass or fail it. Mensa's test is probably better than most IQ-tests you find floating about on the internet, where results frequently are in the range of 140-170 (yeah, right).

Me? Like I'm really 'in the know'. Sheesh.

And besides, after XXX, I wouldn't be caught dead within 2 miles of Mr. Diesel without my trusty blade of facial stabbing +2. He played a stupid drow anyhow.

Gotta agree about the internet I.Q. tests. Most of them are only partials anyhow, and most focus on logic puzzles. The multiple choice aspects also lend quite well to 'luck curves'.

Stab, stabity, stab, stab. (to Vin)

There is a great gender identity test somewhere on the net.(I'm not a nerd, I'm a geek…the diference? I have a girlfriend);) . oh, and according to the gender Identity test, there is a 52% probability that I am a girl… hehehe…:D

And for an IQ test to work properly, It should be tailor made and administered by a phsychiatrist. Apparently.

And I'm serious, does anyone here play Warhammer? or am I all alone?

There is something creepy about certain forums. Ones that you have to watch what you say.

They would probably move this thread to a free chat area, however, how many Dark Sun posters actaully take the time to view the other forums here? They are too many.

Today I went from army deserter to proud soldier in the louisiana National Gaurd. I did my one time swear in. And it was interesting to learn that my first responsibility is to my state. I also thought all gear and equipment was owned by the U.S. Gov, turns out it is owned by the state of that gaurd unit. In essence, I thought that the Gaurd was a camoflaged Federal reserve. Turns out I really am a minute man of my state. Oh yea Darksun is cool, and halfling are cool too. (keepin it on topic)

Warhammer: Vampire Counts

Warhammer 40K: Chaos; Necrons Blood Angels( Vampiric space marines)

Mordheim: Possessed and Undead - Really fun game, the guy who ran the game acted like a DM, really good fun exploring crypts and falling into traps.

Blood Bowl: A couple of games as Chaos Dwarfs

Epic: Chaos in hiatus until Epic:Armageddon comes out.
(Can anyone see a theme or two here?)

Oh and i love the idea of the Ice Age in Dark Sun (different thread i know but i needed something related to DS).
Instead of Defilers the villians should be Sun Clerics, though they arent all that scary since every time they cast a spell they melt through the ice and disappear from sight.
