I'm running my PCs through my seat of pants 3.5ed eternal boundary adventure, and while the conversion works fine, it's PCs coming up with things that arent expected or even accounted for thats a problem...

The PCs met Torriana the Grey in the Mortuary after dropping off the Dancing Man, they asked a couple weapons but didnt ask about elitah, thus not setting off her suspiscious as much

then, immidately afterward, the Party fighter, seeing as theyre attacking lunatics, ran around yelling 'Ahh! Cobras!'. He was of course attacked by the Shadowknave in a dark alley and it ended on his failing a save vs Feign Death, since it was almost time to end anyway.

My question is what is torianna gonna think when the fighter, who was with the party she met earlier that day, shows up marked as a bawmy for the citadel of fire?

Also, assuming I do the obvious and just have him sent there and leave him in prison for the PCs to rescue him, how can I lead them to the citadel? theyve botched most of the leads, as explained They NEED to finish this quest, theyre doing it in exchange for Shemenka looking into something for them (she wanted the information he had, as opposed to the non-exdistant factions).

Also, side note...the orb keeping the citadel's temeperature is pretty tempermental...what to stop the PCs from discovering what it does and holding the whole place hostage?
