Now there my friend is a very good question, and if they aren't bags of holding are they pockets of holding? I mean you'd think with as much as they carry sometimes they would hardly be able to walk. HMM and maybe the pouches or pockets can only carry so many items. Thats a good question, I never really thought of that though i did wonder how they could carry so much. Cam or anyone got any insite on this?

You know those people who are somehow capable of getting a mountain of bags and suitcases to fit in the trunk of a family sedan through efficient use of space and a little know-how? That's a kender trait.

Cheers,
Cam

I tried to tell you.

You realize this means your kids are half-kender. Perpetual adolescents. I'd seek insurance. ;)

You know...my mom is really good at that. Whenever I visit my parents for Christmas...my car always seems packed more efficiently on my way back to Houston then it was on my way to Kansas...

I hope that doesn't mean i'm half-kender, too...

My Kender has a vest with 4 pockets the size of the smallest Bags of Holding. Makes for fun times, he looks like a magician pulling things out of thin air...

i have a campaign i'm running in which a player is a kender. He recieved a bag of holding, which he in turn crawled into. So the other members of the party decided that they would let him hang out in there for a while before they pulled him out. And this got me thinking of something. What a about a bag of holding that was full of curious kender. What a surprise the next owner of the bag would get.

lol, that would be great Icing, only problem is that the rules say you suffocate if you are in their for longer then 10 minuets. Too bad really, hiding an army of Kender in a Type III Bag of Holding would be great.

Lets see...what are in my kenderish pockets...*starts to pull stuff out*

Flower, coins, pen, SSC, movie ticket, rock, condom (never did like the pill, and you can't ever trust a guy to remember these), glasses cleaner, a rag, and a ring. Where did this come from? I must be a kender if people's rings start falling into my pocket!

Wait...wait...it's my ring, and it fell off when i was pulling things out.

Oh well, I'm still as kender as a girl can get.

As a Kender, I've decided that I quite probably love you, and am hereby requiring an accurate description of your location so that I can teleport there immediately. :bounce: :inlove:

Okay, now that that moment has passed, I apologize and should mention that my party in KoD has probably come to fear my kender, Umber Looseleaf, and if you read my post in the "Kender Lover's Club" thread, you have too.

As to what's in my pockets, well look, it seems to be an orb of somekind and a ring with an inscription in the land of Mordor...

wait, where is the land of Mordor? was that the time I went with those two other Kender to destroy that shiny ring at the Lords of Doom? why would I do something so silly?

Sorry Umber dear, but I doubt my fiance would take to kindly to you teleporting inside of our living room. He would probably have to shoot you with his +5 Flame Burst Composite Longbow. ;p

And not at all honey, I don't fear you, your great to listen to!

Forshame, as I am naught but a Black Robed wizard, Umber Looseleaf is my character in TRRW's KoD campaign, but tonight, there will be an excellent posting of a very long story as well, more tales from the Top-knot if you will.

Now back to perpetuating evil.

Hey, let's have a look. Maybe I've still my Tanis and Raistlin somewhere in my backpack ... Oh, it seems I've traded them to a friend ... but, I got a doo-dad and a nice black cat with six legs and tentacles in the bargain

I DM a campain with only 3 other people, so i made a kender rogue that the PC's control in combat situations, and i (as the DM) control in roleplaying situations. with a DM controlling his actions, it makes for alot of oportunities for side quests, adventures, or arrests. also i don't need to keep a detailed list of what is contained in his pouches. he just pulls out whatever is most apropriate(or inapropriate) at the moment.

since we where on the topic of kender i thought i would just pop that in

In the 1st edition Dragonlance Adventures there was a chart that allowed a kender and a DM to figure out what they had in their pouches. I still use it when I have kender in my games!

I also use that same chart. But what do you do with all those mice??? Their party has allready lost most of their food, because Kender keeps carying about 20 mice in his pockets... and we all know how fast those little bastards breed.

I also like that Gnome invention building chart! Got some good laughs from that one!

The mouse "problem": Kender tend also to "loose" things, especially after meeting other kender. That is, they show each other their stuff ... and afterwards the kender wander away with some new stuff - in exchange of some of their "old" items

Also, mice might seek to escape such an over population ... I don't think it's very comfortable living in a / some pockets with so many other mice.

You'll also find many more ideas for "kender" items at www.kencyclopedia.com

Oh, and don't roll - pick the items from the chart(s). Then you won't get any more mice!

Make up your own charts. It's fun!!

Mice in a Kender Pocket, next thing you know there going to start collecting beholder eye stalks, Not sure how big dragon eggs are but it would not suprise me if a kender tried to hide a baby dragon in its pouch and feed it cheese and crackers.

i have an idea for a magic ring to introduce to my players: a gaudy gold ring that, when worn by a kender, convinces the wearer that they are invisible!

It might work not only on kender. One time a low level druid was being attacked by a party of adventurers and the druid cast faerie fire on the barbarian and convinced him that he would blow up the barbarian if he didnt stop attacking him, and it worked. TEE HEE!

Ooooooo! I love this game! *proceeds to upend every pouch on his belt*

Let's see here I have;

One burnt wand. It was a normal wand until it accedentialy was thrown into the fire at the inn we stayed in a few towns back. I think I saw one like it in an alchemist shop. It made the fire really really bright and all sorts of neat colors, and then when it finally went out all the bricks in the fireplace had melted together!!!

Then there's this bracelet that looks like a lizard. It has pretty ruby eyes and some writing on it. It doesn't quite fit on my wrist so I shove it all the way up on my upper arm. Whenever I do that though my friends seem to lose me.

I had a glass ball with a little man inside it. It was real fun to play with. You could shake it up and he would scream and shout! The wizard in the last toen took it away from me. I asked him who the man was and he told me he was a very bad wizard who was getting better than he deserved. Whatever that means?!?!?

6 vials of ink (oops another one dried out) Always need these to make my wonderful maps of wherever I go. They also make for neat bath toys, but you havbe to make sure the cork is in tight otherwise you turn blue. Biy was that an interresting few days!!

A ring with three gems in it. 2 of them are rather dull but that last one sure looks sparkly!! I sure wish I had a....

One dragon tooth. Well at least that's what the man said it was. Northcliffe, my good friend the wizard, says I was taken, but I'm sure it's worth the 3 colored buttons I left for him.

Magical Jumping buttons!!! The wizard who gave these to me was the same one who took my glass ball. A fine trade if I do say so myself.

8 goatsucker bird feathers. Funny how they look just like sparrow feathers.

Last weeks lunch. I probably should get rid of that. Whew do those apples ever smell funny!

A nice pair of boots. I'm sure the cobbler won't mind, I left him my old pair so he can sell them...and no one will get blisters from breaking them in.

A really neat map! You say the name of the town and it appears on the map!! Next time I see him I'll be sure I remember to let him know I found it for him.

Many different colored ribbons. They're great for marking things. Which reminds me...I you see a tree walking around with a red ribbon wrapped around it, could you ask it for my friends sword back. I sort of put it in that tree for safekeeping, but then the tree walked away with it during the night.

I could go on and on but I see Northcliffe and Venka want to leave so I'll see you around!! *stuffs everything into his packs and pouches* May your roads be long and never lead you to the same place twice!
