I'm planning on having a villain in my Dark Sun campaign who has levels in the Prestige class; Ur-Priest from the Book of Vile Darkness.
This PrC steals divine magic from the gods (from the elements in Dark Sun) and has a faster spell progression than a cleric but no domain powers. Instead as they advance levels they get Spell resistance vs divine magic and the ability to steal spell-like affects from monsters.

Now i was thinking of calling this an "Elemental Scourge" instead of ur-priest and have an outlook similar to defilers - using nature for his own purposes but not caring about the balance or any damage he may cause.

Appropriate or requires some changes for dark sun?

Here are Mach's thoughts on the class:
Ur-priest, change to Ur-templar
Templars who have lost their monarch have learned to steal their spellpower from the few surviving SKs. They steal such energy each day. They are secretive about their abilities and teach their powers to only a select few, making them rare. Most seek to revive their former lord in some way.

I'd suggest having as a prerequisite to the class to have lost your monarch trough its death or imprisonment, and to capture a templar from a rival SK and do a ceremony that steals its connection to its SK and veils it, so that the SK has no idea anything is wrong. When the SK discovers the supercherie, the ur-priest changes monarch.

I really like the idea of having an Ur-Templar, but this is for my Yaramuke campaign, and i dont have any dead SK's yet :D
But be assured when they start dropping - there'll be Ur-Templars.

Im still thinking of a Fallen Elemental Cleric who steals divine power from the different elements - Jack of all Trades Master of None. Might incorporate the idea of he can only cast spells from spheres where he has sacrificed a priest of that domain (of at least a level to cast the spells)

Thanks for the input.
Guess i should have done a search first ;)
