at least what race is in control there...(I can guess by the name it is humans, or by the location that they are dwarves.

What little information on the town can be found in "Bertrem's Guide to the Fifth Age" novel, where it discusses Abanasinian town government and history. Other than that, the only thing I can recall is that circa 353 AC, the human town of Longridge was ruled by a 10th level CN human barbarian by the name of Gwathmey.

Whoops. Make that "Bertrem's Guide to the Age of Mortals".

Longridge is a town like Solace with an elected mayor, the War of the Lance-era mayor isn't a nomadic human, he's merely a human with 10 levels of the Barbarian class.
