Does anyone know if there are any published materials (adventures, accessories, or novels) that detail the Illithid god Maanzecorian’s Realm of Rictus before and/or after his death?

The 3rd edition “Planer’s Handbook” mentions that the realm of Maanzecorian is collapsing. I have looked on-line for some information and found a few fan sites that deal a little bit with the aftereffects of the death of Maanzecorian. Some of them are interesting, but they also contradict each other.

I was wondering if anyone knows if there is an official account of the consequences and planer effects of the death of Maanzecorian?

What exactly happens when a god dies and its realm starts to collapse? Is it a violent explosion, or is it an implosion? Does the realm shift into the astral plane? Does it return to the non-realm land of the plane?

Hmm, as far as I know there's no real details on him, but I'm certain that I'm probably wrong in that regard. The Illithiad may have details on his realm in Gehenna before his death.

As for what happens to a deific realm after a deity dies, I would say it slowly crumbles and merges back with the essence of the plane it was formed from. That's how I've treated Maanzicorian's realm in my own game, along with a number of cranium rat's going free willed at the moment of maanzicorian's death and now hiding from Illsensine to avoid being reclaimed by their original maker. :D

(Yes, I let a player play a free willed cranium rat hive in a one shot evil game I ran. Man that was fun. Far too many Pinky and the Brain jokes though. hehe.)
